Did some closet searching, and realized i have almost ever console there is from the NES to the Wii including 3DS and all the game boys from B&W to SP, from Xbox 1 to 360 from PS1 to 3 including Vita, PSP... But no PS4, Xbox one, Wii U yet...

Wondering if i should sell some of these gold mines in my closet or keep them and play every game there is for each console, because the games now a days from them cost like $1 and i'm sure i can buy bulks of them ALL for like $20 on auction either on ebay or amazon.

If anyone wants to help me out here, i'd love to hear some input. Either to sell these if they are not worth the time. or try to play at least some of the games for each one.

Perhaps which system you recommended i play and/or sell first. Maybe a game you might have enjoyed yourself that i should look into investing, or perhaps i already have it.

If it was up to me, i would keep them. Unless some are really going to bring you in some nice cash. You can always get a emulator to play roms if you really need to sell some stuff off.

I guess that's true, but its also sad. These consoles have my sweat, blood, and probably some grease from 30 year old fried chicken on it among countless of other substances i would like to keep private (Lol) only to be replaced by 1 over powered metal box.

I kept all my old consoles. Doubt I will ever sell them. Lucky for me i didnt put odd substances on them >.>

Only have a bunch of gameboys from Original to DS. the infamous VirtualBoy. Snes, N64. PsX and Ps2. Kinda sad to say PS2 is old now. so many good memories on that.

Yea, I figured the same. Might as well. My memories are worth more than i could sell them. For now at least. Lol. Sit on them for another 20 years and they may be worth than that!

Can always do what my friend is doing with his retro consoles. Use it on your kids in the future Plenty of charming fun games from the retro Nintendo eras as well as Genesis.

Ahh good point. Would be quite fun to watch one of my midgets playing a NES, or 64. Its like mind control. but worse because you are forcing them to using out of date console.

Out of date? No way. They still hold true to this age time. Why else do you think there is so many Pixel Art styled Indie games. some true classes and great games on those consoles that still hold true til this day. Plus they will learn to accept gameplay over being a graphics whore.

I don't understand the whole graphics over GP or GP over graphics... That must be what kids are saying these days, me i'm oblivious. I like to think that people have their own preferences, some like one some like both, so this whole war going on between CHOOSING sides is really stupid.

And besides Indie/Old school games lack both graphics AND gameplay, so there really is no argument, and it because of that is what makes them fun.

So I found a game at my local collectors store. Its called Genma Onimusha on the original Xbox and it is pretty fun. The only problem is that it is rather melee heavy and it has tank controls which makes fighting enemies, let alone bosses, hard. So I was wondering if you guys ever played any old games that the controls made it harder than what it seems that it was meant to be?

Tanky controls were pretty common for a fair bit of the older games. Especially Resident Evil. Tomb Raider could feel the same way at some platforming parts. Eventually you just adapt and get use to them.

Yeah, I just entered the underworld in the game, so I think I'm getting close to the end. And the controls don't seem as unfair now that I have had some time to get re-antiquated with tank controls.

Never played it myself, but from the images i looked at, it looks like an older Japanese style of Assassins Creed. If i had any serious experience with any hard controlling games i would say (Dynasty Warriors 4) which was meant be be a simple hack and slash facerolling, make me extremely mad when a boss facerolled you while you were busy trying to turn around while getting glitched, and the endless buttons he pressed gave you no time to guard or even attack. Also (Blade II) which seems fairly simple, but was extremely stupid controller wise above all else boring.
