What are some ironic names used in real life or fiction? Do you have one? Think they're funny or clever?

Mine is Makoto from School Days, cause Makoto means 'Truth' or 'Sincerity.'

In the Pixar movie The Incredibles, the family's last name is Parr which means average. Obviously if you watch the movie, you'll know why this is ironic.

And how can we forget Lolita? The name of the title character of the classic novel Lolita; a little girl who is the object of Humbert Humbert's pedophile desires and actions. Nowadays it loaned its name to a type of genre of Japanese animation/manga associated with sexualized little girls. And then they try to tell me there is nothing wrong with Lolicon and Loli's. Talk about unfortunate implications that were very much implied...

Oh, and Lolita is also a type of fashion in Japan as well. That name must really be popular there.

And one of my all time favorite characters, Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon. Not only is she the main character and Sailor Moon herself, but her name is a pun as well. Usagi means "rabbit" and "Tsukino" can be translated to mean "of the moon". This is a reference to the Japanese belief of a rabbit on the moon (as in the West, there is the man on the moon), and is also a shout out to her actual association with the moon. There are of course, a lot of references and mythology uses in Sailor Moon, but this is one of the more blatant ones.

Mikado Ryuugamine from Durarara. His name literally means "Emperor of the Dragon Peak". A running joke in the series is how his name sounds like the name of a main character in an anime/manga, when in fact he IS the main character in an anime/manga. Sort of a double-irony here.

EDIT: My own name is kind of ironic. Christine. Considering my family is non-religious and I've never been to church a day in my life.

Hmmm, it actually fits him quite well in my opinion. Especially considering
I also agree with Light in every way, he is right in my mind, and, I believe, is a Light in the darkness.

This isnt really ironic but more of a gag name,
Australian businessman Dick Smith released a line of matches called Dickheads, a pun of the other match brand Redheads.
