Only a sick child, or a religious nutcase holds the beliefs you do michaeldeska your no different than the terrorists who blew up the twin towers at this point. Planning to use force against the people you don't agree with to protect what you believe in. Doing all this while believing your right, your justice, and your the good guy. I knew another dude like this, his name was Osama Bin laden.

my name is Michael Bruce Garska named after two great warriors (michael the arc angel and Robert the Bruce) i am catholic and lived a very fulfilling life so far. i was always fixed on military stuff when i was a kid and wanted to be a marine ever since, even to this day.

i follow a moral code known as Bushido (way of the warrior) and i can tell you why i choose to be a warrior, i want to help others and protect them at all costs. it fills my heart to help someone with any sort of task or situation, and has influenced me to fight for them. i am willing to sacrifice my life so that the people of this world can be free and that justice will prevail over evil, and im scared shitless thinking about it but its something i am willing to do.

is there anyone here that can relate?

this is not a matter of winning or losing but prevailing over evil its self, and i dont understand how hatred is born to protect love.

Every war they say “This is the end. This is the last war."
In World War I, they said "This is the war to end all wars."

And then soon the United States was waging war in Korea, and then Vietnam

War is an act of evil the military is only there to protect the goverments intrests,

look at africa how many kids does not die there? and still the vatican is filled with gold where is the justice in that? you can never overcome evil

your lack of faith in your kind is disturbing, i will over come sir and i will not stop fighting it, i cant just give up and think my people, my race, the humans we are are hopeless, i will make sure justice will prevail i will be sure to protect as many as i can that is my goal and i will not give up. thats what makes me who i am, yes i am weak, yes i am ignorant and by god yes i fear for my future in death. yes there is corruption, greed and selfishness that is only because we are human non of us here are saints sir.

we all have suffered one way or another, more some less but tis all the same, the last thing i want is war, and by god i hope i never see the battle field i dont want to kill i dont want to see other people suffer but thats life dude, shit happens every day and there os nothing we can do about it.

Ofcourse the circle of life and death that apply to everthing what i´m talking about is people that could have survivde but the goverment does not see profit in it and they died

im sorry to here so, it was a sick thing for them to do but you must endure or you will never see peace. i want to make it clear that im not insulting you but just trying to help as best i can

There an idea that if you want peace, you prepare for war. The idea is rather silly though, in the grand scheme of things. You may prevent direct attacks, but stuff such as terrorism can't be stopped by armies. Many would say e.g. that the "war on terror" has left the United States - and perhaps the world as a whole - worse off than before. Even having armies to prevent direct attacks is rather passe anyway, following the advent of the nuclear bomb, which is far more effective a deterrent than any army.

Now that we have established that armies are, basically, pointless from the standpoint of achieving peace, let us consider why we do not have peace today. It all comes down to human nature. Peace will not occur even if you give people all they need, they will then just find some ideological reason to kill the person next door. Then consider for instance contradictory wants, e.g. a guy wanting a woman that doesn't want him. This can't be resolved in a way that pleases them both, and there are plenty of similar scenarios, so therefore no peace exists.

There are few options for peace really:

- Virtual reality: people live in a personalized world that meets their every desire

- Highly effective distraction/recreation: Could be the next version of Everquest, could be some drug, doesn't matter really so long as it keeps people from caring about the real world. I suspect that if we'd made Everquest widely and freely available in the Middle East, things would have quieted down there long ago.

- Teach all people to love one another,. Good luck with that one. We had some guy preach something similar some 2000 years ago, and people not only nailed him to a cross but managed to pervert his teachings into excuses to kill and discriminate against others in his name.

As a "warrior" I feel I'm entitled to judge you. I'm not a 17 year old kid with delusions of grandeur.

You see I'm a Veteran of the United States Navy. I was forward deployed my entire Naval career and all though I have never seen combat I have been damn close. I was in Japan in 2010 when the ROKS Cheonan was sunk and the Bombardment of Yeonpyeong. As a young 20 year old Sailor knowing that in exactly 12 hours I will be a few miles away from North Korea and China waiting for our president to decide to go to war is terrifying. Also knowing that in every simulation done if the US goes to war with North Korea and China the US 7th fleet will be wiped out and I will be dead is horrifying.

You've never experienced these things before. Your not any kind of warrior, your a fake and a fraud.

Now the way I see it you are one of 2 things.

1. You are actually Ill. For whatever reason your current life is not meaningful enough so you feel you have to play hero. This could be just because you are young and trying to find yourself or your actually Ill and you need to seek help.

2. Your a religious nut who is no different than Osama, Hitler, Tojo, or Stalin.

Perhaps rather than follow the traditional path of a warrior, when warriors have failed throughout history to bring peace, you might want to consider an alternative route that might have some chance of success. That's what I was trying to suggest. To each their own, though.

There is an anime actually that you might find interesting if you watch it to the end, called Noir. There is an organization called "Les Soldats", or "The Soldiers", that I suspect you would identify with.

Then you're no warrior, you're a being of the planet who wishes to see everything all pretty and shiny.
As long as there are people like you out there, we can possibly achieve that, but not until we can get rid of people who want to get other's hands dirty.
Nice job slaughtering the editing of the posts by the way.

Bushido was based on buddhism. If you understand buddhism you understand bushido.
