Oh right, this anime....I'm still watching it. Not entirely sure what direction it will take though but let the rivalries begin:

stark700 That scene made me laugh! I think it is taking its time to build up to something big. sort of like the original series did. I like how once they "defeat" another team they become friends and instead of hating each other they become supporters for each other. Less cut throat competition, which i think is a nice change of pace. But sadly would not happen in the real world.

Looks like there's going to be some tough competition coming up soon.

As for the latest episode, the music was alright I guess.

stark700 not a big fan of the bach concerto and opening song (I forget the name but i believe it is in suzuki violin book 2)? Surely you loved danse macabre (by Saint Saen) played on "two" electric violins with a piano accompaniment? *begin rant * though after listening to it twice I believe there was only one violin playing. Certainly they could have made that a nice duet, but no they coped out and just used one violinist. *end rant*
Maybe next week will be battle of the flutes? I liked her last line of making him suffer in hell. she's so evil and serious she's funny!

This show has such a soap opera level of drama, especially this current episode, that I can't stop watching.

Tbh, I actually like it when the play the piano or violin. I'm not a fan of either the OP or ED song of this show though. It just feels a bit mellow imo.

I think they've stepped away from character background stories and set up to finally having some really "action" going on. Finally! They took their sweet old time letting you get to know the characters. It's moving really slowly so I assume this is a 26 episode type and not a 13 ep type.
Ah, the true cruel cruel world that belongs to Professional performers. Glad I stepped out of that realm long ago. I much prefer a more laid back existence. I commend anyone who performs professionally but alas, it is not for me. In the mean time I watch music performance anime.

It is most likely a one cour (13 episodes). With the exception of Ginga e Kickoff!!, every show they were involved in so far has been one cour or less.

NO! That means this season will end on some horrible cliffhanger! And then we'll have to wait 3 more years to find out what happened.

Japanese media is always expensive. That DVD pricing is normal, the blu-ray most likely will be around $300. I'm so happy CD's aren't region locked. I can always get the Hong-Kong or Taiwanese version for "normal" US pricing.
