I have a 3DS which I plan on getting SSB on but if the Wii U version looks good I might just have to buy a Wii U and SSB for it

The Wii U just needs an exclusive mode or something to stand out from the 3DS. The 3DS version already has the 'Smash Run' mode. I just wish they released the Wii U version first or on the same day.

I'm planning to get the 3DS version as I already own a 3DS.

I'm going to buy the 3DS version day of launch or at least within the week

The wiiU version well so far nothing looks bad so it may end up being my reason to buy a wiiU

Like a lot of people I'm excited to see Rock (Mega) Man in the game, but it's making me nervous that they haven't confirmed Ness for return yet

Although I'm tempted to get the 3DS version I'm going to hold off and wait for the Wii U version, just SSB in HD.. can't go wrong there.
I do hope as some alluded to above that some more exclusivity comes to the Wii U version, other than just gorgeous graphics.

While I don't have a Wii U yet, I plan to get both versions of Smash eventually. I adored Brawl (350+ hours) so there is no way I am missing this game.

What characters are you guys most excited to play as? For me, I'd say Greninja because his teleporting/countering moveset seems like it will make approaches much easier (something that I was never very good at) plus he has high speed and a solid ranged attack. If he has a decent KO move he should be perfect for me.

I can't wait to get it! It looks like it's gonna be tons of fun. I'll be getting for my 3DS since I don't have a Wii U.

I think I'd peg Greninja as the new Metaknight in terms of competitiveness.
I'm really hoping Nintendo embraces DLC this time around so that they can please fans later even if they initial release isn't what we all thought it would be.

Personally I always liked Lucario so I'm looking forward to the power-up they've given him.

I am bummed about the exclusion of a single player mode though (or rather the reason for the exclusion really, so stupid)

I'm hoping the release date differential means the team will pour their heart and soul into the U version once the 3DS is out of their hair. At the moment the U just feels like it's been getting shafted (and that's something that's true for all of Nintendo's current release schedule).

Strangely I'm one of those odd individuals with a U but not a 3DS so I'll be getting the U version.

I don't think Greninja will be anywhere near the level of Metaknight. Two of the things that made MK OP were his ridiculous recovery abilities and his high priority spam-ish moves. Greninja has neither of these things, and looks to be a much more balanced fighter. Of course, he does have his own bag of tricks which makes him look amazingly fun, but this game seems far more balanced than Brawl was.

Also, it seems that SSB4 is focusing more on the core game than all of the peripheral stuff that was in Brawl. While some of that stuff was enjoyable, SSB4 seems to be much more balanced, with infinitely better online modes, better stages and more items, in addition to the fact that there are now two versions. I don't think you need to worry about the Wii U version as it seems like it will be absolutely amazing at its core with great online modes, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were some exclusive tricks up its sleeve that they plan to show off later.

I've been wondering if Nintendo is hiding a lot. Since they didn't want Brawl's single player spoiled I wouldn't be surprised if certain characters were confirmed and we just don't know about it. It's a nice thought at least. haha

I know I can't wait. My 3DS hasn't gotten much love lately because of my PS4 and Vita, but this'll be a good timesuck when it comes out. It may even be time to buy a Wii U.

I'm really excited to reunite with Marth and Sheik, but Greninja... I see a new main in my future.

Smash WiiU/3DS are both looking great so chances are I'll be getting both because of the different features of each game. The only problem for me is the fact that I find portable fighting games difficult for some reason but I still want it even if just to hold me over for the WiiU version
