Hey guys I was having trouble with my video playback. I have a 50mbs internet connection, an i7 processor and everything else on the computer seems to be running fine but whenever I try and watch a video it will become really choppy and I'll have to restart the page to get it back to normal for a couple minutes but then it'll start acting up again. Anyone know how I can fix this?

This is a known issue that Crunchyroll has yet to fix. For temporary fixes if you're on a PC, you could always try opening up your DNS. Just go to your network and sharing center. click on your local area connection, hit properties, click internet protocol version 4, then go to the bottom and enter this into your DNS settings.

Prefered DNS server: 208 . 67 . 222. 222
Alternate DNS server: 208 . 67 . 220 . 220

Remember this can be a temporary fix or a dud altogether. Until Crunchyroll decides to provide updates to their CDN servers and flash player, you'll just have to sit through it.

You're most certainly welcome. I also suffer from choppy playback, so you're not alone.

They have personally said that updates to the CDN servers and flash player were supposed to roll out by the end of Q1. Though that was supposed to be the end of March. And we are almost two weeks into April. At this point, it's anyone's guess really.

I have always had issues like most people. However when you go into your settings->Video Prefences->Default Full Screen Hardware Acceleration:Enabled (Mine was on disabled)

It seems to have helped a little. Or maybe im just being lucky? Idk lol

It's probably a matter of luck at this point. If it happens again, then you'll know it did nothing.

I changed my DNS: No dice
I checked my hardware acceleration: On, no dice
I turned my VPN on to make it seem like I'm in Seattle (I'm Canadian too): No dice

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. I was thinking that I had some weird issue where I could download Steam stuff at 3 MB/s
while watching Youtube, but couldn't watch Brynhildr on this site at 720p.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon...

Also experiencing frequent freezing issues. The soundtract and subtitles will continue while the picture freezes. It generally doesn't start happening until several minutes into a video, but once it starts it happens constantly. Very, very annoying.

This is an issue when we watch on my husband's computer, but not an issue when I watch on mine. His is updated to windows 10 but mine is not. Could be related? Please do something!
