So CR is one of the few sites that stream 1080p video. Combined with the fact that they have this simulcast thing going on I thought it'd definitely be worth it to pay for a subscription (I have for the past 3 years now). Not only is it legal, members (and non-members via ads) are supporting the site and helping out the creators of said anime/drama/whatever.

However in the past month or so the streaming service has been very bad (at least for 1080p). And before you say anything like "is it your internet or computer that's giving you problem?"

If CR users have to pay for a service (be it ads or $) they should at least get what they payed for.

Loads of people are having issues. They are working on a fix (I believe) but who knows when it will actually come..i watch in 720p and it's been alright recently :|

I wonder if the more we press this, the faster CR will get on the horn of pushing out those updates they promised....yeah, not a chance.

Support Lead has covers this many times, but I will state it again...

it is a CDN problem, and new CDNs are being deployed when possible. No ETA possible, but there is a very busy nest of engineers consuming copious amounts of coffee.

As far as I know, support has never come out and stated what the problem is. All they have given is temporary workarounds and the simple "we're working on it". This literally is news to me that it's a CDN problem. I've always had to guess between the flash player and the servers.

Well no wonder barely anyone knows about this. This thread is buried underneath everything else. It wouldn't have even crossed my mind. Thanks for the link.

Edit: I've seen Bjaker say that before. He has said that they're working on a new flash player and new servers and a different style for PC streaming, etc. etc.. I guess what I was trying to say is that no one has come out and stated "what the problem is". Telling us what you're working on isn't necessarily stating what the "exact" problem is that's making us customers go through this lag problem.

Not once have I seen an admin/employee say those exact words. I'm very happy that someone has taken their time to come out and actually explain what the problem is. You have my gratitude.

The gears are turning, and if CR wants to get even more subscribers, they know it needs to be fixed. It will get fixed.
