Sorry, have one on me.

It's the crazy bad guy from FarCry 3 right?
Or is it really Khal Drogo from GoT? That's what I thought at first

Idk if this changed along with the new layout but the only thing I could hate is their website functionality and how hard it is to watch anime on there. Also some of the dubs are ridiculous.

Honestly I don't know why they keep giving Bryce such huge roles. Let's face truth here guys, he's mediocre at most. His dad and mother were fantastic, but voice acting isn't a talent that runs in the family. Why do people crap on SAO's dub? Kirito's whiny voice. Who voiced Kirito? Ding ding ding that's right Bryce. They literally had a GREAT line-up for AoT's dub, I love Annie's, Sasha's, Connie's, Mikasa's, and even Jean's actors so much. Especially Levi's and Hannah's (Well that's mostly because Tia Ballard is one of my favorite voice actors) But the fact that I have to deal with his, well, not fitting voice 90% of EVERY episode, makes it difficult to watch for me. FUNimation is pretty great with everything else they deliver, but they really botched up Eren's role here.
An example here, in the first two episodes he made little to NO effort into sounding like a little kid! If anything he sounded OLDER than he usually does! It seems like he improvises too much and when he puts effort to putting a tone in his voice... well this part is just rude but he just sounds...odd to me.
I realize I'm being a hater here, and I admit that. But I am entitled to my opinion :p (He does have his moments though, he's not TERRIBLE... just not good enough for LEAD roles in the one of the most popular animes of this year)

Yeah, a little off topic here. I just don't rely on FUNimation anymore because of their unknown reasoning in making Bryce the main role in seemingly everything I enjoy. I've seen SOME good roles of his, and it's nice when he does, he just needs to know his limits, and FUNimation needs to be more careful with their casting

To be honest, the fact that SAO's Kirito was on toonami for a while and not even a couple years later when I'll be able to forget SAO, here comes the titans. And Eren Jaegar's English shouts make me remember Kirito in that bullshit anime. Ugh. I love Rin from Blue Exorcist though

Well, you can't give the excuse of "They only use the same voice actors!" for hating the Attack on Titan dub because the majority of the cast in the show AREN'T regulars. A lot of the voice actors for the supporting cast either have been in two or three minor things or they aren't as famous as some of their colleagues. From what I've seen, the only VAs that "are seriously literally in every Funi dub" are J. Michael Tatum, Caitlin Glass, and MAYBE Josh Grelle and Trina Nishimura.

Besides, I don't recall Bryce Papenbrook (Eren's VA) and Matthrew Mercer (Levi's VA) being in every single Funimation production ever. Those two are LA guys. So that means that for the Attack on Titan dub, Funi was willing to look OUTSIDE of their typical talent pool to look for the best actors for each specific character.

And when you check the list of every single VA for the English dub, there is no Vic Mignogna in sight. Not even in the extras.

Current issues:
1.Streaming
2.Same voice actors
3.Licensing Rights
4.Pronunciation
5.Taking Vids Off Youtube

My argument/Views:
1. In regards to the streaming on Funimation, yea they suck. If you feel like Crunchyroll is better, you should use it then. If crunchy roll doesn't have the rights all I can say is that sucks lol.

2. They don't use the same VA for every show. Admittingly they do use the same VA for lots for shows though. However, keep in mind that anime is a smaller niche market than it's in Japan. Which also means that there is no doubt less VA to choose from. Not many people aspire to grow up to be an anime voice actor. In another respect, I'd rather have experience voice than inexperience one. If they were to hire more VA that aren't as experienced people would go bat crap crazy that the quality is complete poo as already seen on this thread. Then we would end up going back to using the same more experienced VA because the DIFFERENT VAs were not as experienced.

3. As far as this goes, you can also blame the anime distributing companies in your country for not distributing there. Or you can blame the fans there for not buying enough merchandise there so that they could distribute/stream there. I'm talking about companies like Madlax etc.

4. I really don't even see the issue with pronunciation here. I watch anime for the stories, I'm not going to avoid a show just because someone pronounced a word differently. Anywho, for one, perhaps some of the English VAs can't pronounce the name at all. For example, I pronounce girl as gurl when I speak. The same can be said for Japanese VAs. Have you ever heard some of them trying to pronounce things in English?

5. It's their product, they can do whatever they want with it. They got the licensing rights. Putting those small clips on Youtube piracy without their permission is technically piracy. It's like copy and pasting an essay from another author. (ofc people do pirate and put entire series/episodes on Youtube anyway)

My thoughts:
All in all, Funimation has its ups and downs. Same with Crunchyroll. Funimation is more of a distributing company than a streaming one. To say you hate Funimation just because their streaming sucks is too extreme in my opinion. If their streaming service suck, move onto the next one. Although people do have their points. It's 2014 you'd think there streaming could be better considering it's a paid service. I praise Funimation for all they've done for the anime industry in the US (like Toonami). They help widen the fan base and amount of shows available to the US. At the same time they bought cheap anime videos here. I could buy a 24 ep series from like 10-40 dollars at their website. Compare it to companies at Sentai or other companies they end up being like 100+ for the same number of episodes. From a business standpoint they also create competition which may or may not be great. Consider for example if Crunchyroll had a complete monopoly on all simulcasts. For all we know they could just decide to up an anime subscription to 20$ a month or something.

I agree with this, Funimation isn't that bad, although Idk know about this shady actvitiy with Attack on Titan leaving Crunchyroll, I mean its Titan so it would sell well regardless of CR holding it, but w/e, its pretty obv that CR controls the streaming market and Funimation dominates the DVD/Blu Ray and Television market, since there properties are basically dominating Toonami with the announcement of DBZ Kai for the lineup in the fall

I just don't like their streaming. I've had nothing but problems during my two week trial. Random never ending buffering which resorts in either a refresh or dragging the slider back, diminishing quality, etc. etc.. I honestly can't see myself getting a subscription w/ them once my trial ends. That service is sort of poor. What I will commend them for is their customer service. Whenever I reported problems, they were pretty nice and quick about it. Other than that, yeah. Crunchyroll all day err day

I've watched several shows on their service and I am a subscriber. A lot of times when I am viewing them on Firefox there is static in the audio. On any browser I watch them on there is problems with the video at the beginning of the show. It's almost as if I am watching a VHS tape.

However I do have to point out they have some pretty good shows and that is why I am a subscriber.

Their audio quality really is all over the place, it seems to stay consistent between shows. Some series' sound like a muddy rip from some random low quality raw site while others are pretty decent. It's ridiculously annoying.
