I hear they sometimes get simulcast rights for the UK, but don't use them

Is there a reason as to why they do such a thing?

Maybe the UK rights are packaged with the US rights, and Funimation doesn't stream simulcasts in the UK.

It's just that I feel that they do not put enough effort and research into their dubs. You see, to be a voice actor you have to be able to act the part and to have a voice that evokes the type of personality that the character. You have to have the mannerisms, attitude, and tone of voice to a T. Not only that, but you have to pronounce every single name and term correctly. Try again until you get it right. If you wanted to be an anime voice actor, you need to know these things. It's the same way as to that voice actors need to know how to do accents and also impressions.

Could it be that they are ethnocentric and believe any other English speaking countries other than the US can not have access to these dubs? Well, it wouldn't really surprise me due to them being Texan and all.

All I see is justr rages in this place.. Some people like Funimation some don't..,

I know after watching commentaries to the animes there was some changes made in the scripots just to make everything fit and lip sync would go well.

Their website yeah I use to have lots of uissues with it but it has gotten better which I am satisfied for.

So I really have to hates.,. but I am really scared that this could just be a Flame war or something just to express someones haterted which I feel is not needed.

Yes but is there a reason for the obligatory swearing? Because they do such a thing at times that I feel that are very unnecessary.

Umm sometimes I do see them resusing other voice actors alot... Like Greg....(Uhh I forgot his last name)... The guy that plays the MC on Heavens Lost Property and Chronas on Chrono Crusade.... That kind of bugs me but I get over it.,...

It even gets bad on me when I just look at other chatacters and think to say that guy is so going to have him..

But asgain that is just me and I do get over it.. and I am glad that they do hard work just to try and localize the series that they have....

And to the point with Attack on Titan... Just get over it... Just because some people in the Sub does not show much feelings does not mean that the dub can't show a little feelings.

What are you talking about? The original Japanese version does indeed show feelings.

Also, Greg's last name is Ayres.

Maybe we should really blame the licensor for bundling the rights together (perhaps as worldwide English language rights), rather than offering the UK rights seperately. Though this does seem to be usually the case that if Funimation get the simulcast rights for a new show, it will not be simulcast in the UK at all (annoying UK anime fans like myself). I am curious why this seems to happen so often.

I also just remembered something. The characters in Attack on Titan are from different places heritage wise and are based in a German colony, and yet in this dub they all have American accents. It reminds of how Hollywood whitewashes certain characters and historical figures because they believe that white people represent the everyman which is definitely not the case. For example, that new Noah film features an all White cast even though historically the actual people there were not white at all.

Here are their mispronunciations:
- They use BOOLMA instead of BLOOMA. You see, Bluma is the correct way to say and write it because the name in Japanese is spelled as Buruma which in English, would be pronounced as "Bluma".
- They say SAY-en instead of SYE-ahn.
- They say UHR-zah instaed of AIR-za
- It is Lunch not Launch.
This is why I prefer to use the original Japanese terms. For example, to refer to Goku's magic cloud, I use Kinto instaed of Flying Nimbus.

who in america doesnt say bulma ? lol, everything your saying people in america would say anyway. i understand your dislike for their dubs but this is a bad example, whats wrong with nimbus?
