Now that i am seeing so much more anime PS Vita games being chucked out i am considering to buy it. Last year i brought 3DS because there is a lot more games that i wanted to play there but now that i am out of games to play on my 3DS i am wondering if i should save up some money and buy the PS Vita to play all those SAO : hollow fragment, and others anime-ish PS Vita game that is coming out soon or already came out.

Posts about good action adventure or RPG game would be nice.

Edit : Somehow i posted in the anime section even through i swear i was in Console Gaming section.

The easy way would be to click the "report" link under your first post, and just say where you'd like it moved to (or other changes). I already moved this for you, but I wasn't sure what you might want it renamed as, so if you want to try reporting it as a test to say that, feel free!

I honestly bought a Vita for Persona 4 Golden and would be completely happy with that game alone if the Vita was discontinued tomorrow. That being said, the Vita has an amazing library if you enjoy niche Japanese/"weeaboo" games. Being able to play DJMax Technika without having to wait in line in an anime convention's game room is a dream come true and games like Ys: Memories of Celceta, Dangan Ronpa, Soul Sacrifice, and Toukiden keep me coming back for more!

I went to walmart the other day with the intention of picking up a vita. The girl told me they don't carry it anymore. I'm hoping that when the slim come out in May they will change that. I have a 3ds and there are a lot of good games but it's looking more and more like the vita is getting a lot more of the RPGs and they carry a lot of the older psp and ps1 stuff for the vita in the online store. (And I'm getting really tired of Fire Emblem telling me I've been playing too long or it's late and I should go to bed.)

That said since they didn't have a vita I got the 3ds version of Conception 2. If you can overlook the kind of creepy make babies with high school girls part Atlus puts out great games. It's got a lot to it. Like the other post said get the Vita version. I've been getting a kick out of all the anime tropes.

Sorcery Saga curse of the great Curry god looks kind of fun too. I was going to get that and another Atlus game Persona 4 golden.(Even though I already have the ps2 version of persona 4). It does make me sad that the Persona that's going to be a vita exclusive is some sort of lame dance/rhythm thing.

Ahh yea, part of the reason why i am considering buying PS Vita is because of all the anime games that kept showing up in the new section of crunchyroll. Only "anime"-ish game that i played before is Persona series and that's about it so figured maybe i should just buy a vita and check out all these anime/japanese games.

It was just announced that Tales of the Heart R is coming to Vita. I love the Tales series of JRPGs and I'm finding the Vita the best system for playing JRPGs, so I'm really excited about this news.

If your anime tastes run into harem/ecchi shows, then you should check out Conception 2 for the Vita that was released this week. I've probably put 6 to 10 hours into it so far, and I'm finding it fun. It is definitely a game that could only come out of Japan. It's no Persona or Tales JRPG, but it is a lot of fun.

Also, remember you can play Persona 3 PSP on the Vita, which is considered a really good version of Persona 3.

My biggest issue with the Vita is that a lot of the games I'm really interested in hardly ever get translated outside of Japan. I'm a big visual novel fan, and there are tons of VNs on the Vita that people outside of Japan will never see.

I've been seriously thinking about buying a Vita but like the guy above me said a lot of the good stuff will never make it's way to America, so I'm still pretty conflicted, I mean they aren't that expensive but at the moment there are only a few games I'd buy and to buy them I'd have to order them online since my gaming store doesn't have them.. Fighting games are a plus for me and I believe there are a few on there(?) but at the moment I'm still conflicted on buying one.

I own a Vita, and I'm loving it.

I think that Sony and other developers have realized with while the Vita will not make a huge mainstream success, it can still be successful as a niche system. That's why the Vita game landscape is currently a mix of quality indie games and quality games from smaller Japanese developers. As a gamer who really dislikes the cheap and inferior quality of most mobile games, and who is looking for some really fun games on the go, the Vita is a very good system for me.

Funny enough, in the same time frame I bought a grand total of 3 games for my 3DS (Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Bravely Default), I bought at least 5 Vita games (Dragon's Crown, Muramasa, Ys: Celceta, Persona 4, FFXHD, Guacamelee, Project Diva F), and brought in all my PSP and PS1 Classics purchases from the PSN. And they say the Vita has no games.

Vita ports of PS3 RPG's, like Persona 4, Final Fantasy X, or pretty much anything NISA puts out on Vita (Disgaea, Atelier) are arguably better on Vita because you can play them on the go, they use less power than their home console counterparts, AND you can suspend the game in the middle of a fight.

And take note that the Vita doesn't just play Vita games. With the new Vita patch, nearly every PSP game and PS1 Classic on the PSN is playable on the Vita, so that automatically doubles or even triples its library. You can watch Netflix and Crunchyroll on the Vita (which is actually much better than any phone unless you own a Note 3).
