It's in my top 5 for sure...by the way, Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece are not in my top 50.

One Piece was once in my top 5 not that long ago, but it's really fading FAST. The Fishman arc was weak and now they seem to be transitioning into this Big Mam storyline which seems even weaker. I've already fallen like 6 months behind the current story and find it difficult to continue.

If I had to call a top 5 right now it would be:

Hunter X Hunter
Kyosougiga
Gintama
Black Lagoon
Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Big mam storyline? Have you been keeping up with One Piece? Big mam has only been mentioned, there is no such thing as an storyline or arc about her. Also the current arc ( Dressrosa ) is freaking crazy right now! It's on par with the marineford to be honest.

Yes! Well said

Oh lame, I think I just found the issue, I didn't mean YOU personally are uttering one of the most ignorant statements, but quoting the original statement I replied to saying "This is the greatest of all-time" said by an anime fan of any show to someone else is ignorant.
What I currently find hilarious is why am I arguing with someone else that I can see adamantly likes the same show I do about that exact very show.
Since my other replies didn't seem to have done you justice in what I meant this is my answer to your OP:
No, don't debate "Does Hunter X Hunter deserve to be in the debate for the Greatest Anime of All Time?", but instead Debate why HunterXHunter should be included as one of the great shows of the anime world, there is no Greatest

OIC, I thought you were directing that at me, personally. My misunderstanding. Yes, let's end this pointless argument since we're clearly on the same side saying the same thing. No harm, no foul.

Though, I would like to say that it's still fun to suppose which should get the title of greatest, even though there never will be a winner. It's like debating between Michelson or Woods, DeNiro or Jack and Michael or Elvis, you know? Just for the hell of it.

I like Hunter x Hunter a lot. Probably in my top 10 or top 5 if I cared enough to make a list like that, but I definitely think it's good. I don't exactly agree with you on the last episode though.

it used to be my favorite until this arc. The episodes are dragging on foooreeever. It's DBZ and One Piece all over again.

Sure why not. HxH is the best Shonen in my opinion. It does lack some of the sadness that Naruto lacks, but it also doesn't have the melodrama and silliness. Naruto at it's best is as good as HxH at it's best, but on average it is much worse.

It's all subjective though. I'd still put FMA:B as my all time favorite anime, even though I can't really say what exactly I prefer about it.

I don't see it. It just feels dragged because there is so much going on simultaneously. They change POVs every episode because it's suppose to show what exactly happens during this particular moment. Each character had a specific task to accomplishthat had nothing to do with the other so iit's more detailed. Dbz had none of that.

Yes... But time slows down more often than I'd like to, and the narrator begins rambling about things that aren't super helpful to the plot.

Can't agree with that at all. I mean, they are juggling encounters like crazy that are happening all over the place. DBZ and OP have one primary fight that drags on for an eternity, but just since they've raided the King's Palace, there's been like 10 fights already that have come to quick conclusions. I think it's moving really fast. I mean, since they've entered the castle, we've already seen a number of fights start and finish and
And all of this has taken place within the time frame of a few minutes.

It really can't possibly move any faster. It's not a one-on-one fight, it's a skirmish between platoons.

I see where you're coming from, yes. I'm probably just really impatient after having read the entire manga series.

While it is a subjective opinion, there are certain elements to a story that are, if not wholly objective, much less subjective. You can compare the ideals being brought out, how the plot escalates, how the story is played out, how a resolution is achieved at various points, etc. Then, of course, you have things like quality of voice acting/animation quality, but that doesn't really affect the story too much.

And it seems to me that H X H definitely deserves to be quite high in the ranks.

I was a great fan of Hunter x Hunter from when the original came out, and actually I really enjoy the 2011 version as well, but I don't think that ep 126 blew my mind away though...I still believe it's a really good anime

I'd say it does. I thoroughly enjoy watching it, and it's a nice break from what's normally seen in shounen anime nowadays. For me, it honestly feels like a '90s anime airing in the 2010's.

eh, that fight was epic. but wasn't all that great. too many people flying on the epicness.

the show is definately top 5, hell i would even call it number 1. not the 2014 version, but HxH in general.
