I didn't full blown cry but I did tear up a bit, when I watched Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Elfen Lied, Clannad, and Gintama.

Maybe I'm just a cold person but I never understood crying for a fictional character. Don't get me wrong there have been a few shows that have gotten me to shed a tear or two (namely Clannad After Story) but never to the point of bawling while shouting "AWWW THE FEELS" like it seem like most otakus do with anything that can even be remotely be seen a sad or tragic.

Most recent anime for me was the last episode of Kids On The Slope. The ending was so heart wrenching, I had to shed the manliest man tear in history for that show.

I've never cried for a fictional characters sake. Yes, I am a heartless monster. But for the most feelings... I'd say Angel Beats.

Most of the emotions I feel aren't for the penciled in characters. There are situations and drama that I connect to in real life, or I could see myself in real life.

If I have not experienced a close one's passing, I could still imagine what it would be like while watching AnoHana. On the other hand, having had someone close to me like Menma pass away, it was all the more real to me like reliving the experience again. Don't watch stuff that you can't handle by the way.

On the other hand, angel beats didn't make me cry because having been through multiple failed relationships, it was meh. In my head I kept saying, "That guy didn't even know angel that well." But I'm just an old cynical fart when it comes to that.

My list:

1. Steins;Gate
2. Madoka Magica
3. Sunday Without God
4. AnoHana
5. Valvrave (I had a tear first, then laughed after)
6. Samurai X
7. Penguindrum
8. Henneko
9. End of Evangelion

Probably a lot more than I can remember. Some are water works, some are just a tear or two, some are just hot steam coming out of my eyes.

FMA Brotherhood had too many sad times Nina, Hughes, then all those deaths at the end

I think worse one that made me cry was probably (SPOILERS FOR AN ANIME THAT'S BEEN OUT SINCE 2009!) Greed

Well, I cried in Angel Beats, because I could relate to some of the characters pain.

I haven't cried with any anime so far, I am however going to watch Angel Beats and Clannad and report the results afterwards.

Natsume Yujinchou. Why? I really don't know. Although I think as time has passed it seems to be much much harder for me to get all emotional. For example after Angel Beats I was like "why did everyone say this is really sad and stuff? hmm...". Either that or I've just lost my soul

EDIT: But I have been left in a void by quite a few shows such as Code Geass like DAMN that ending just killed me altogether. The void is just horrible. ugh.
