"True humility is contentment."
Henri Frederic Amiel

There's a bunch of poor people who are much happier than many of us are now. Laughter is contagious and does wonders for the brain chemically anyhow. On the other hand, there ain't nobody who doesn't laugh except those who are dead. If you never experience humor, that ain't natural and should be the scarier thing.

Being rich does not make you happy but being poor can keep you from happiness... if you're trying to keep the rich american life we all take for granted. This is especially true due to social control. So what should one do? Revert to a humble lifestyle like most of the world that can't take a computer for granted.

Definitely the money. If you had the laughter but no money whatsoever, the only laughter you'd be bellowing out would be the laughter of insanity. Good luck laughing when you have jack shit on the currency front. Infact, no, good luck surviving.

If you life in a country like America, it's pretty damn hard to die because the country won't let you. America ain't cool with people dying on the streets so they'll feed you while taking pay from the government instead of you. You don't need any money to survive and live without stress. We 'murricans are too spoiled.

I suppose if you look at is as if laughter is not allowed but humor is, obviously there's hardly a competition but that also kills the point of the question. I'm going in without clutching at loopholes.

Laughter. I'd rather be able to laugh. It's part of who I am

I looked at it as being like a question posed to the entirety of humanity. If a large quantity of a country chose laughter over money, say , 30% of the population, I doubt the government would consistently pay for all those people.

Laughter. If I can be happy and laugh, I'd take it any day~ It's no life worth living being sad all the time :<.

When the OP confirms them, it's hardly "clutching at loopholes."

Money! DEFINITELY MONEY.

I won't be happy, but I'll be able to use my money to make many other people happy.

Not to mention happiness isn't reliant on the ability to move your lips up and down while sounding like a turkey.

I am already laughing all the time but have no money (due to bills and various expenses).

The laughter feels a little empty at times, as most no longer laugh with me....bwuhahahahhaa...heh...

I would have to go with laughter. Today was pretty frustrating at work, with things not working like it should, and spend a good 7 1/2 hours working on it. Laughing sure did calm me down.
