Another P.A. Works title.

Nagi no Asukara was a lot more enjoyable than I had thought so I'm hoping this will deliver as well beyond the visual productions. The PV seems promising so far with a colorful cast of characters. I wonder if this show will be 2 cour though but at any rate, I'm expecting good things from this.

I'm intrigued by this and it's definitely one on my to watch list for the Summer season. I haven't see Nagi no Asakura yet, so this will be a new experience for me.

Stark, I love you for starting the thread so I can talk about the show, but I also realllly hate you for doing it, because I wanted to do it myself.

Why's everyone talking about Nagi no Asukara, the only connection is the producing studio.

By that, Glasslip has as close a connection to Nagi as it does to Red Data Girl, Another or Angel Beats!.

Compared to shows like Tari Tari and Hanasaku Iroha, which it shares some actual staff with.

My God Stark, you too fast on the Trigger...I am surprised you aren't some sort of Mod.

This is also a major point bothering me, P.A did knock Nagi out of the park, but that does not cancel their other very bland and somewhat awful productions such as RDG . Yes I do expect visual pr0n like their most recent work, but I would not dare hype in case this work falls as hard as their previous ones. They still do have a decent track record of works I have enjoyed so at least I know I should try out glasslip before leaving for the maybe marathon pile when the season is over out of boredom.

From the PV it looks like a visual eye-rape such like Nagi was. This is ok with me. But I hope it is just 1 cour... i'm noticing I tend to forget or drop shows half way unless I really love them if they are 2 cour (or more).

P.A. Works = I watch it, unless it sounds or looks really stupid to me, but that's not the case here. This gives me sort of a Tari Tari vibe, which is not a bad thing in my opinion. I think this will be too different in nature from Nagi no Asukara to really compare the two, but I think that might be a good thing. As much as Iove Nagi no Asukara, I'm not sure that I could handle another series like that so soon.

I'm just happy that it won't be filled with Mari Okada melodrama.

I don't know what you mean about shared staff, though...neither series composition or directing is done by the same people who did Tari Tari or Hanasaku Iroha (fun fact: Blast of Tempest and Hanasaku have the same writer/director combo, which means that got put on my watch list pretty fast).

However, Junji Nishimura, the director, does have some good stuff to his name: True Tears and Ranma 1/2.

They other writer, Rika Satou, only has credits as an in-betweener on animation thus far, which is kind of interesting. Nishimura has done both directing, storyboarding and series composition before, though, so I expect he at least knows what he's doing.

I saw them connected to somebody, but I forget who and ANN is down.

They might've been more inconsequential staff. The director of photography is from Canaan, which is good.

Alright, ANN is up. It's not much but this is what caught my eye before.

Junji Nishimura, director. Script, storyboard, and episode direction credits on Hanasaku Iroha.
Rika Sato, series composition. Wrote the screenplay of Tari Tari episodes 5-8, 11-12.
Satoshi Namiki, director of photography. Same position on Hanasaku Iroha and Tari Tari.

So not much in terms of actual direction.
