The End
Sounds like you have a major hit on your hands. Better start talking to a studio, stat!

@Lykradonai I'm not sure about #1... Would you prefer he was woken up by someone else? Like the neighbor?

Why not be woken up by an alarm?

I don't like it when a character who has been used for nothing but comedic relief throughout the entire show suddenly becomes serious and gets his/her own super cool scene. It's kind of hard for me to take them seriously.

(Although sometimes I'm okay with similar situations, like Kanaria in Rozen Maiden. But she did have a few more serious scenes beforehand, so it wasn't as bad.)

Because the alarm would wake them up on time... that's what alarms are meant to do.

The bigger questions are why they can't manage to do so without hurting themselves, and why the china is unusually sharp enough to slice at the faintest pressure. Even scalpels don't do that.

The character should be both humorous/serious.

Haha. This was pretty creative in terms of setting it up. *Claps and throws flowers on the stage* Love it.

Anyway, I think #15 on that list is definitely a big cliche for me. I mean we spend probably 12-24 or more episodes watching the guy and girl develop their relationship throughout and then when they get to the end....NOPE, let's troll all our viewers and make them question why they watched this show in the first place....

1. Bad guy and good guy are engaged in a sword duel. They lunge at each other. Seconds go by, they're both standing. Next thing you know, one of them drops on the ground.

2. That stupid pose characters do with one leg splayed out when they land after jumping from a high place acrobatically.

3. The usual monologue of how someone got strong, or trained, or achieved a technique.

4. The fact that all attacks are actually given a name. Imagine Lebron James shouting, "Triple Rainbow Arching Three Point Shot" every time he threw a 3 pointer. Ridiculous, right?

5. Flashbacks in the middle of a battle that seem to regenerate their health, strength, and stamina altogether.

6. The fact that most high school and/or middle school girls wear short skirts.

7. The fact that the bad guy and the good guy always have that super secret powerful ultra mega top secret technique that they won't use until they're nearly lifeless and bleeding from everywhere.

8. There's gona be that one episode where someone forgets their bento and some girl related to them (childhood friend or sister) is going to bring it to them before lunch.

9. There's going to be a blue, or orange, or pink, or green, or red haired character somewhere.

10. Here's an emoji づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ to make it an even 10.

I really dislike the girl-that-can't-cook cliché. Typically paired with the tsundere personality type. Anything they cook comes out as a censored blob of slop, followed by the other characters (typically male, love interest) trying and failing miserably to digest the disgusting muck.

Recently seen in Zvezda Plot:

And Kuroko no Basuke:

Not to do the guys a disservice, there's also England's cooking from Hetalia. (Don't feel like finding a pic.)

It's based kind of on the old-school idea of never hitting a women. There for the super strong guy is helpless to her attack.

aka I hate that idea. If someone is attacking you, it doesn't matter the gender.

I was going to mention the mascot character - baby face with large breasts. And well, that cliche is kind of whole casts for some shows now (much more often than a decade ago), so I am not sure if that fits anymore. Judge ruling?

^^ But ... isn't almost every young anime character drawn with a baby face ? I don't recall a lot of baby face with big breast being a mascot, sure some of them maybe in anime but they are probably not the mascot.

Pretty much all the cliche i wanted to mentioned is already listed, feel like what animes need are more 4th wall breaking before it become cliche itself. Not just the weak i feel like we are in anime/manga thinking, i mean like gintama level 4th wall breaking.
