does the tv/pc screen make you sleepy?
Posted 4/28/14
for a lot of ppl, screens are supposed to make them stay active. but for me it has the opposite effect, it makes me sleepier.

(I get the same opposite effect from coffee as well... but I put a lot of milk in my coffee... so maybe that's why)

wondering if anyone else experience similar thing? opposite day... but an eternal one...

No, but sometime yes, actually i use to turn on the TV when i couldn't sleep. I put the TV on sleep timer then i just stare at it until i sleep. Like that i sleep quicker then with out the TV. I think it work, because it will make me tired.

Screens keep me awake and it's hard enough for me to get enough sleep as it is. So I started using a program called f.lux that changes the tint on my monitors depending on the time of day. It has an orange/redish tint in the evening/night and at it's really noticeable when it changes but you quickly adjust and then it's not all that noticeable. I've been using it for quite a while now and it has made it considerably easier for me to go to sleep when going from the computer to bed.

Not usually, except for my computer screen at work, but that's because I'm in a temporary office right now with absolutely terrible lighting.

Only if I'm already pretty tired, otherwise I am fine.

Occasionally, Yes it does! There was this One thing I saw that had the ability to self adjust on it's own the Screen's brightness visibility by the Hour and time of Day. It was kinda cool, but in the End it wasn't all it was wrapped up to be. But I keep a bottle of Eyedrops in the nearby vicinity anyhow, so I'm good.

It makes my eyes kind of have a glare, but no, it doesn't make me sleepy. The exact opposite.

The PC screen definitely make me sleepy. That's the main reason why I hate taking online courses.

For PC yeah definitely... I get really bad eye strain after a while and I have to take a break. I probably need glasses.
