As a black person, I'm not really offended by this. I think people blow little tiny things like this way out of proportion because they're afraid that if they don't, then it will seem like they support the statement, which would make them seem racist. Everyone is a little racist actually, I'm sure many of us make plenty of assumptions about people based on their race, or we are more sexually attracted to certain races than others.

The only time when racism is a bad thing is when someone looks down on or even hates other people for just being a certain race, so much so that they would be willing to commit violent acts against other people based on their race.

It is racism. Over in california, this rich white ass neighborhood was destoryed because of a fire. And the president quickly stepped in to make sure that they all got new homes as quick as possible. On the other hand when it comes to Katrina. He doesn't so show much concern or remorse. You see more people that are actors/actress doing something about it than he is. There are still many people down there that need help. And a mass majority of them are black.

Not to mention down their they arested this black guy because they thought he was stealing, but he was looking for his god damn family.

So you go ahead and say that's not racism.

So u went on the internet and figured this all out... It kinda seems like u know some american stereotypes... I doubt you've been to america or met someone from there

Darylchan, aren't you doing the same thing as those so-called "Racist americans?"
Your saying that all white people and the American government is against minorities even though you base this off of a couple things you read about and stereotyping white Americans because of it. Thats called hypocrisy. Sure, there are racist americans, but you can't say that white americans are racist against minorities.

It's been quite known that White americans are much more racist to minorities. But they don't need to be as racist anymore, since people of the same race talk shit about eachother all the time.

...I'm not from america or anything... but if they are against asians its probably tools like you and their ignorant statements that make it so

You don't have to be a PHD holder to know that americans are racist to blacks, asian and hispanics.
Perhaps you'll like to ponder deeper into the ignorance of your ignorant statement.

you should apply that to your own post.

perhaps YOU'D like to ponder deeper into the ignorance of YOUR ignorant statement

Why i wonder.
Is racism in your definition limited to only name callings?
Racism is abound in america.
Just that newspaper alone tells alot.
Even after the civil war which has since passed so long, the media is unable to stop itself from passing such racial statement.

don't u live in singapore?? how do u no this?? and aren't u just stereotyping americans by giving examples of the minority that might be prejudice??

It's easy to know how racist this country is when you look at the media and history books. And you stated yourself also that you are not from america, so how do you know this place isn't racist?

And your statement was ignorant. Say thing "...but if they are against asians its probably tools like you and their ignorant statements that make it so"

So what your are implying is that people have to have a reason to be racist.

Say that to all the black people that were beat, hung on trees, threatened because they wanted to go to a white school, and called names. Just because their skin was black. I mean that's reason enough right?

And what about the all the japanese immigrants that were locked away because the government was afraid they were going to spy on them for Japan during WWII? Well shit, their japanese so they must be spies right?

I didn't say it wasn't racist, I just said that the news article's choice of words doesn't bother me. Of course all those events are something to be concerned about, but a few little words aren't a big deal to me.

How so? Say anything and I can back it up.

There's plenty of black people who hate all white people for no good reason just because a few white people are screwed up. Also, my parents and some of my family members often make racist comments about middle-eastern people and assume that they're all terrorists. ALSO, there is a large population of Somalians in my city and in our schools, and many times the American-born black kids make racist comment about how they all suck at driving and how they all stink without understanding their circumstances.Every race has it's bad apples.

I am black but everyone is racist including black people and other races. We cannot just say it is only white people because it pisses me off when I see fellow african americans argue with someone of a different race and we always throw the race card at them. If we want racism to end we have to stop this double standard. We cant expect to be racist toward other races but then pout when they throw the race card at us. Also the mainstream media needs to stop blowing up small racist incidents on the tv and just ignore some. Our government is also plays a part because everything is always divide by race example which race goes to jail more often, better at school, etc that all plays a role. Geting rid of these will put a huge dent in racism.

What am I not getting? All I said was that using somewhat racist words (meaning words that could be interpreted as racist rather than being blatantly racist) to describe people isn't a big thing, but all the other things are what we should be making a big fuss over.

I never throw the race card. But it was thrown at me a couple of times.
