Holy crap! This is getting an anime adaptation!? That's crazy! When i played it last year, i even told myself that if it became an anime, the feels would be immense. Can't wait.

If Akio Watanabe is doing the character designs, like he should, then I'll have to give it a shot.

I don't think that's helping... It only makes it sound as though it was hot as lava with a lot of volume to the sound effects...

8bit... Im a bit sceptical on them since its probably the 1st VN Adaptation they doing??

Its great that another VN is getting a adaptation, but why are they taking so long to do a Rewrite VN Adaptation? Which is made by Key. Should be soon though, one of the greatest Visual Novels of all time in my opinion.

Grisia I have got, still have to play it, but not quite a fan of 18+ Visual Novels

Yeah... I was going to say something about cumming lots of lava sounding really uncomfortable.

The producers of Rewrite at Key have stated that they'd gladly do an anime adaption if asked to. But figuring out how to format such a long VN with routes that are impossible to transition into each other is an extremely tough thing to do. It would have to be at least 24 episodes to get the common route and some heroines' routes done with resetting after each arc.. And Moon and Terra routes would need to be their own seasons like how LB Refrain and Clannad AS were.

Rewrite was insanely long and in depth. I gave up about half way through my third play through and just googled the other endings. I haven't played this one but will probably give it a shot before the anime comes out.

Yeh, I know... I've been reading articles and stuff about a potential Rewrite adaptation. Also im praying White Fox will pick it up since they did the Opening scene for Rewrite which was awesome! Moon And Terra can fit into their own season, as moon is not long at all. As for the common route, not everything has to be adapted from that route as some are not important. All the girls routes tho will take a whole season to do, The longest one was Lucia? Which is my favourite girl!

^ Indeed Rewrite is the longest Visual Novel released for the time being. I suggest do it all, as It is also one of the best VN's I have done.

Thinking about average 1-cour (12 episodes for Common route), 2-cour for the girl routes (24-26 episodes) and 2-cour for Moon + Terra (24-26 episodes)

This is one visual novel I have read and it is absolutely fantastic. In a sense this is the first in a trilogy acting as the prologue. Only this one is fan-translated (although mind you it's so well done that it's better then most professional translations) so I haven't read the other two but still this is something. As a prologue it's mostly explaining the characters; why are they at the academy and in a sense what makes them tick. All of the girls are interesting fascinating and multilayered and they all have their reasons why they act in particular ways so keep that in mind when watching. Another thing I like is Yuuji the protagonist of this story and all I say about him is well his interesting and I don't think I've seen that sort of character before.

There is no true route given the 2nd one goes completely different (I won't spoil what it is) so I'm not sure how they are going to adapt this. My dream would be for them to adapt each route (including common) a cour but that will take 6 cours 1 and a half years. So I don't think that will happen so I reckon they will adapt the common route one cour (it's a REALLY long common route took me 20 hours no lie and is regarded as the longest in history) and then the next cour would have different mixes of all five girls route ending on an open ending for the second season. Given this might have original content they might flow the routes one into another that makes sense.

Now 8-Bit is not one studio I know of but they do make reasonable good animation and now they might get a chance to shine. Motoki Tanaka is the director and whilst his only got one thing as the director (besides directing Episode 7 of Katanagatari) is Kiniro Mosaic. Now I know that might be weird to say how I reckon his a good director but the fact is he knows how to direct really good comedy. And that is certainly needed here given the common route is mostly a slice of life comedy. So having a director that does understand comedy (at least I'm hoping so) really makes me interested in what he has to show with this. Also as a side not he also directed the 2nd op of Rewrite so there's that too not sure if that would mean something.

The series composition Hideyuki Kurata writer of The World God Only Knows (the anime not the manga), Kamichu!, Read or Die and Samurai Flamenco. Now granted from what I can tell this is his first actual visual novel adaptation. This is a surprise having Kurata doing this. Granted his not as big as Mari Okada or Gen Urobuchi, his still pretty big and having him as the series composition could make this a whole lot better. Most the problems with his scripts are mostly from the source but given how extremely well written the visual novel I don't think we will have that problem. Also the original writers of the visual novel are checking the scripts so it is great they are putting the original creators involved in the anime making sure it stays true.

We then have Akio Watanabe one of the original charters designs of the visual novel is actually going to be not only the character design of the anime but also the chief animation director. This gives me a huge boost of confidence having him in charge of animation since he has worked the visual novels.

Casting whilst not confirm I be hugely surprise if the PC version of actors (their were different actors minus Makina for PSP version) reprise their roles. Not only are they perfect for their characters but also they are already comfortable with their characters and know them inside out. A side not of that Little Busters fan Rin Natsume voiced by Tomoe Tamiyasu voices Makina in Grisaia. The only one left not cast would be of course Yuuji and I have no idea who should voice him. I'm hoping someone that is somewhere between being a badass stoic and sometimes sarcastic and other times a jerk (but only a little bit).

Anyway sorry for that long post but I'm just saying that this has a chance to be great adaption with this staff and all. They are putting effort into this. If they capture what Grisaia is on anime then I'll be very happy. This can't come soon enough.
