Was there an anime that you loved, but dropped because of how much one part upset you?

I eventually picked it back up, but near the end of the first season of Code Geass, when

I did rage quit the series for a while. It was an extremely contrived way for the show to pull a eucatastrophe out of its ass.

Yeah, Gantz, when the only slightly interesting person dies. It was no longer point in watching anymore after that..

We don't talk about that horrible event. Ever.

I dropped Gurren Lagann after

Sorry, I just could not do it anymore, because I really liked him.

I can understand that reaction, a lot of people were like that when the show was first airing, but I strongly recommend that you finish it.
I mean, if you can't do it you can't do it, but if you'd bear with the series for a few episodes and give it a shot I think you'd really start to enjoy it.

Alright well, I'll give it a shot I guess. I did watch the episode after it, but it just brought me down more because of everyone being depressed and stuff. Thank you though

If it counts, halfway through Wizard barristers when they snubbed the other new lawyer I was done.

Same here I was digging that show, then the scenes all jumbled together I thought I was lagging.

Guilty Crown

After 2 months, I decided to finish the series. Wasn't too happy with the ending, either.

I shouldn't have fed into the hype of that show, I kinda was intrigued at the beginning but the end killed me.

I've never even considered dropping an anime for that.

I've never dropped an anime I've loved because of that. The closest thing I can think of for me is Gantz.
I liked the premise of Gantz but I dropped it after three episodes due to how disgustingly misogynistic it was. I've never actually been offended by anime before Gantz so I had a strong disgusted reaction to it which caused me to drop it.

This, sort of.

I was loving Guilty Crown early on, but it started to just.... suck at some point. I stopped at around episode 19 and have never gotten around to finishing it.

I don't see how it was that contrived when they had established several episodes before (when Mao was introduced) that one would eventually lose control of their Geass. If only Lelouch had kept this in mind and given a more harmless yet equally improbable example.

DEATH NOTE
i'm sure you can guess where. i wasn't even really disappointed, i just knew that the show was going to go down hill from there, so i left it on a high note and pretend the second half doesn't exist.
