It's cheaper to go to a classical concerts in Sydney while I'm 25 They have this thing called "$30 for under 30's" sometimes... and I can choose the same seat as someone who is paying $100.

I don't give a shit about my age. I just go to places where age is not important since I tend to have more fun in those places since people that don't care about age are more accepting of different people.

I'm legal for everything now? But I neither smoke, drink, play lottery, nor buy guns so I guess that doesn't really matter either.

Once you're over the age of like 16, your life can start to suck **depending on what you do with it**

I stopped caring about my age once I hit 25. It is only a number and what really counts is what is in your head.

Yes, age is just a number. People that care too much about their age tend to be superficial assholes.

When you yell surprise before sex, it's truly meant.

When you're 101 years old, it's a surprise for all the participants.

My current age is one of those milestone ages, so there are plenty of pros and cons.

Pros:
- I am officially an adult under the law.
- I have more independence. I now live away from my family, which I am enjoying immensely.
- I don't need my parent's permission to do things, especially travel. My parents (read: my father) dislike that I will be going out of the country this summer, but that's just too damn bad, because they have little say in the matter.
- I can get a job outside of retail and restaurants.

Cons:
- My childhood is technically over.
- Some lovely older people still refuse to take me seriously.
- I get carded like everywhere.
- I can no longer count on adults to baby me, and I am held more accountable for my actions. Basically, I get away with less shit than I used to.

Aside from not having to get permission for anything like when I was younger, there's nothing special about my age. Yay I can drink? Oh wait, I could do that at 19 because I was stationed in Canada for work when I turned 19, so yeah, just a number, nothing more.

Numerical age is just a mental construct that we have been conditioned into thinking that it is highly important, but it isn't at all. We have been brainwashed into thinking that we must separate ourselves into age groups which causes us to discriminate against each other under false assumptions. Age is just another form of mental slavery.

The are many great things about being 45:

* I'm established in my career with a stable (and growing) income
* I've learned to deal with many of the challenges work, life and just being an adult throws at you
* I now have money to buy the toys, games and stuff I want. I love skiing and it is no problem for me to pay to go on a ski trip out West
* I care a lot less about what others think of me than when I was younger

I normally don't think about my age, but each stage of life has its advantages. Middle age, where I am, is where you get to start and enjoy the hard work you did in your youth and young adulthood.
