It's been a lot of time since I last played video games. I'm considering the possibility of purchasing [email protected] One For All. It's in Japanese and that's good because I like Japanese and I have been practicing for some time and I have my trusty dictionary with me.

1. It's for PS3. Would it work for PS4? It seems not but can somebody tell me for sure?

2. Can the PS3 (or PS4) from the United States play Japanese games, or do I need to get a Japanese PS3 (or PS4).

3. I have a brief, general idea of how the [email protected] games work. What is special about One For All above the previous ones? I searched online but I didn't find any useful information. (I want to know about differences.)

4. What does the special collector's edition has over the regular edition?

5. Have you bought Japanese games before? If so, which online store did you use? Did everything work fine?

6. What do you like the most out of an [email protected] game?

Thank you.

3/4. If you can read some Japanese, a lot of the info/news is here:
http://www.famitsu.com/cominy/?m=pc&a=page_h_title&title_id=29925

5. I buy JP games from Play-Asia and CDJapan.

Additional info: If you're planning on getting/buying DLC, you'll need a Japanese account to access the Japanese PS Store. You'll need a Japanese credit card as well or buy JP PSN Cards online. If you don't need DLC (it's an [email protected] game though, no DLC would make it incomplete), you can play it with a PSN account of any region.

6. AZUSA!!! And the songs.

Thanks for the useful information! Regarding the PSN accounts, I don't know about them since I never had a PS3.

7. If I begin playing with a non-Japanese account, can I easily transfer my data to a Japanese one after I've played for some time?

8. Also, how does one create a Japanese account to start with? (assuming I've bought JP PSN cards)

The special collector's edition has:
* The game itself (duh)
* Different art on the box
* Drama CD
* Informative pamphlet about all 13 idols
* Calendar
* 13 small-format "posters" (about hand-size it seems?)
* A "cleaner" with aphorisms ("sayings") from the president
* Product code (useful for PSN maybe?)

7. Usually your save data is locked to that account user. Transferring saves wont work majority of the time.

8. Google it for better info. But usually when you make a PSN account you try to set it up that it thinks you live in JP on the information. I forgot how to really. Been a long time since i have done it.

7. You can have several "Users" on one PS3. 1 User = 1 Account. The good thing is content downloaded by one account can be used by the others (If you download [email protected] Channel with your JP account, your US account can play it too. Same goes for DLC). The things you can't share are Trophies, and save data (though, like Vashtor said above, some games allow save copying). It's up to you which account you want to use as your main one. I only use my JP account to get digital games/DLC from JP PSN Store. I play using my US one.
