As the title shows, I would like to know what are your favorite/most memorable anime episodes that you have seen thus far. I've come across some great anime that aren't considered the "best", but have some great scenes in them that are memorable for something. I'm sure it's the same for most of you.

Write the name of the anime, episode number, episode title (if possible), and a little reason as to why you feel the episode was memorable in your mind (optional). You can name as many as you would like!

I'll start off with the three most memorable for me (in no particular order):

1) Kids On The Slope - Episode 7 - Now's The Time

If any of you have seen this series, and specifically this episode, then you know what's all about. The music and characters carry you through a jazz like performance of teenage life with all its ups, downs, off beat situations, and unlikely relationships. Episode 7's last 10 minutes exemplify whats great about this anime through the use of a fantastic jazz duet and a very memorable sprint down the slope.

2) Attack On Titan - Episode 7 - The Small Blade: The Battle of Trost District Part 3

The series needs no introduction. Attack On Titan has quickly become a top anime in the eyes of many viewers. Calling episode 7 the climax of the first half might be ill advised, but it is certainly one hell of a climactic episode for all who have seen it. The whole episode if very gripping, but once the focus turns to Mikasa it just turns into something amazing. The struggle to survive and live on the face of unwavering power is depicted very well, and topped off with an epic last 3 minutes.

3) Air (TV Series) - Episode 12 - ~Air~

I'm sure many of you have seen this series and cried as many tears as I did, but I don't think I cried as much as did during episode 12 as I have for anything else anime related (...yet). The whole episode is pretty much a suspense filled train ride as the viewer awaits (probably watching it misty eyed) to see what will come of the main character. As to not spoil the show for those who haven't seen it, all I will say is this....that beach scene *sniff sniff*.

Attack On Titan ep 7 yes, Kids On The Slope 7 yes, Black Butler 24 yes,

Gintama, Ep. 142, Life Is About Making Consecutive Decisions.
Great fights..and...just...Kagura. As a 'science fiction human drama pseudo-historical comedy' Gintama is really one of the best for imaginative action which engages quite deep emotions - whilst nearly all the time satirising the anime tropes its excelling at! It's best to watch the whole Yoshiwara arc to get the build up.

Gintama, Ep, 113, Cleaning The Toilet Cleanses The Soul'
As a stand alone episode 113 was where I started when I went on a mission to get my sister into Gintama... I knew a scatalogical Miyazaki parody would work on her.

Mushi-Shi, Ep 2, 'The Light Of The Eyelid'
In a superlatively beautiful series in terms of art, one of the most gorgeous. Leaves me feeling so peaceful, yet it's also uncanny and strange. So glad the new series is even better due to advances in animation techniques.

Natsume Yujin-cho San, Episode 12, A Place To Go Home to Happy/Sad. Deep themes. Childhood. A sense of home.

Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi. Ep 23, Love Makes The World Go Round Let's just I never knew the surname of my 'oh so important' highschool romance either!

Naruto Shippuden Ep 31 The Legacy. Even in Naruto of all things, there are gems like this. And that is why anime is great.

Judging from the above might be time to give Hunter vs Hunter a go.

near the end, Mozart's Lacrimosa plays over the scene, Chrollo reads a poetic riddle, humans being killed left, right and centre; does it get any better than that?

This episode of Cuticle Detective Inaba is really special to me because of its message; you can meet the nicest person in the least expected places.

First off I want to say that this is a very good idea for a thread! Well done vrose22, I give you props.

Favorite Episodes

Gurren Lagann Episode 15: I Will Head Towards Tomorrow

This is probably the best episode I've watched in any anime. The conclusion of Gurren Lagann was epic, but I feel like the mid-season finale was the best in terms of gratification. It not only had an awesome fight and the art was topnotch, but the ending was just so sweet and enjoyable that it just took strides to my heart.

This episode is absolutely legendary.

Attack on Titan Episode 25: The Wall - Raid on Stohess District (3)

Probably one of the most epic episodes I've seen in terms of music, art, and tone. The battle was insane and everything fell into place. And who could forget the tease at the end?

Naruto Shippuden Episode 167: Planetary Devastation

This episode had one of the best fights I've ever seen! The emotion, tone, and flashiness was so intense and kept you on the edge of your seat. Not only that, but the art was incredible. This is probably one of Naruto Shippuden's biggest highlights and makes me happy that I kept up with the show just so I could experience episode 167.

Kill la Kill Episode 3: Junketsu

This episode had it all: It was hilarious, action packed, great art, awesome music, and showed us how over the top Kill la Kill could get. In the third episode they set the bar so high and the series just kept on getting better. But episode 3 was a reminder why Kill la Kill is so fantastic.

Clannad After Story Episode 17: The Ends of the Earth

This episode was the only thing in any entertainment media to make me full on ball my eyes out. The amount of emotions that were piled into this episode was unreal. It was the episode proved why you always have to move one and look ahead so you can realize what you do actually have in your life and not what you don't. Even through the pain, there is happiness.

Absolutely phenomenal episode.

Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid Episode 13: Continuing Day By Day

This episode was great. Massive character development for the main character, emotionally filled, and an awesome battle. I really liked this episode and it rapped up the season in a nice way. They teased us at the end and I can only hope that Full Metal Panic gets another season.

Sword Art Online Episode 10: Crimson Killing Intent

Loved this episode. Finally showed the characters excel majorly in their relationship and this is the episode that really made me fully fall in love with Sword Art Online. It did a lot of things right with the characters, the setting, and the set up. I can't help, but feel so good when watching this episode. It's just to satisfying and emotionally compelling.
