Not sure where this one came from. Didn't see a topic for it, so if there is, some mod can merge/delete...

I guess it can't hurt to try. It turns out to be about 10 minutes. Artwork would probably offend some purists, but it's a somewhat bizarre sense of humor which totally clicked with me. Not exactly knee-slapping stuff, more mundane, which is fine, since I apparently have a twisted sense of humor.

I started watching this short show. Yes it is very strange almost too stupid to be funny. I am almost getting the feeling that the writers are trying too hard to be funny. The art style is VERY different from many shows, but it does have its charm. The two newscasters are a great contrast. He has zero confidence and the woman is, well, she is just lost. Almost like the stereotype TV personality that can't do anything but read a teleprompter. Similar to the Ron Burgundy character in the Anchorman movies. If it isn't on the screen, blank face. If it is on the screen, read verbatim.

I'll keep watching this show but I do think it is very limited into who would enjoy it. I'm not completely sold either.

I LOVE this show. It's utterly bizarre.

It's also utterly wonderful.

This is like the anime equivalent of an Adult Swim original cartoon series in that it has an....odd art style and very weird humor.

I think it is charming so far.

I might watch this someday. The animation feels a bit strange though.

I don't think there was one, so thanks for starting one! (I've added it to the Show Discussion Index now).

I've watched the first two episodes, and plan to watch the third, but right now I think it is not for me. Parts of the "funny" are okay--though not particularly the kind of humor I like. That co-anchorwoman though. The way in which she is funny just irritates me and I really don't want to see more of her. (I like the production assistant though--or whatever she is).

I really like this anime. I dig the style, and the VA's are perfect for the roles. The humor reminds me of Chevy Chase for some reason. Kind of a laid back style that aims to keep you off balance. Not every joke sticks, (microwaves don't smell like defrosted meat) but I'm sticking with this quirky little show.

Such a wonderful show, I like the comparison it's like a more sedate adult swim Show :D

(emphasis mine)

I love that you took the point of refuting the statement :D

PS: Brilliant ending!

Watched episode 3. Liked this one much better, so it seems this show might end up sticking in my queue.

(However, does the way Shimohira walks in the ED bug anyone else?)

Funny enough that it's now "officially" on my "watching when simulcast" and quite unlikely to be dropped.

Watched the first episode, not overly impressed, unlikely to be watching it.

That was my impression after watching the first two episodes also, but I enjoyed 3 and 4 enough that I think I'll stick with it--it won't be anywhere near the top of my list, but at just a few minutes each week, worth the time.

(Which isn't to say you'll draw the same conclusion--you very well might not, and I'll understand that--but just saying if you weren't planning on watching beyond episode one, you might be interested in doing so...just in case)

There's only like 2 episodes left anyways. According to MAL it only had 6 episodes....
