The noise and watching it's destructive beauty in motion ((Only seen them on the news etc.. I've always wanted to see one up close and personal)) ...

While I don't like the deaths (more specifically, I'd rather not have one kill me), I just love seeing them destroy parts of this world, which I often rage at.

ah... well... considering how many lives have been lost with these things, even just in the past few days... i can't say i feel comfortable with ignoring the lives of those affected just because i can crawl under my covers and watch it safely from afar. I feel for those families and I hope that the survivors will be able to pick back up their lives.

at the same time, i do love storms and crazy weather, i love lightning and strong wind. Not that it isn't scary, but there's something about that crazy power that is appealing.

My favorite part of a tornado is chasing the suckers down.

Being from KS we get our fair share to chase.

It would probably be epic to get caught up in one, you know until you die that is.

The part where you don't turn "favorite part of" into the equivalent of a shitty internet meme.

You take life too seriously. People can have a favorite part about anything. Besides people don't always die when a tornado forms.

Favorite part about Hitler? His charisma and weird as hell mustache.
Favorite part about the current pope? He is the most down to earth pope I have heard of and is doing things differently.

See? Polar opposites and I can pick good things out about both.

The part where the mountains in Colorado protect me.

Ye shall never break the impenetrable Rockies!

Taking life "too seriously" is getting upset at a forum topic about tornadoes when 7 people just died because of them with a user clearly mocking them, apparently - my eyes are currently rolling so far back into my head that I can see my brain.

Not mocking those deaths at all actually. People just assume that is the case due to the timing is all. Not that I mind their mistake though. I personally choose not to dwell on things that occur naturally.

"due to the timing" my ass, you are very capable of not making forum topics tied to recent events in a disrespectful manner, this isn't funny.

Of course I didn't have to. But you are still wrong. I honestly wasn't considering the recent events because, as I have previously mentioned, I don't dwell on things like that or give them much thought for very long. I saw it on the news and promptly moved on with my life and so there wasn't even a single thought given about it when the thread was made. By the time I remembered I just didn't care.

You do realize not everyone lives in the states, or lives in a state that even gets Tornadoes right? Just because 7 people died in the states doesn't mean someone from say Canada or Europe even remotely knows that it happened. Hell until you started ranting about 7 people dying in a Tornado I didn't even know and I am from one of the states that get Tornadoes pretty much every time a storm pops up.
