I love the Yakuza series! Decent gameplay but amazing story! I've beat 3, 4, & dead souls. I really want the Hd remake of 1 & 2 to get localized. 5 getting localized would be good too.

I am still playing Yakuza 3 and loving it.
But I am the sensative sort-- especially when it comes to SEGA-- about endings.

Without spoiling it for me-- keeping in mind if they never release Yakuza 5 in the West-- if Yakuza 4 was the intended ending, and there was no actual plan for a sequel (much like there has been no plan for a Beyond Two Souls sequel EVER, David Cage flat out refused. I am just making a point that just because a sequel is implied, one is not necessarily intended) is Yakuza 4's Ending straight forward enough that it could have been the end? Or is it obviously incomplete without a sequel?

I am not saying 'Give up hope for a sequel'. I am just asking, 'Is the ending of Yakuza 4 a possible clear end? No obviously left behind bad guys? No characters INTENTIONALLY left to wonder about?'

Can anyone give me an honest opinion about this without spoilers?
I would REALLY appreciate it.

Is the ending of Yakuza 4 a possible clear end?
Yakuza 4's ending concluded its own story well but you just know there's going to be a sequel. It leaves you wanting more, making up theories and stories on what comes next.

No obviously left behind bad guys?
If I recall correctly, none.

No characters INTENTIONALLY left to wonder about?
The main characters.

Wanting more solely because it is a great series? Or wanting more because some questions need serious answering?

(By the way, thank you so much for the quick response.)

More on... I want to see what happens next than need more questions answered.

It doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but it's open for Team Ryu ga Gotoku to connect a sequel.

So, final question, to conclude my purpose for asking.

Could I easily pretend it is the last one, if I wanted to, without any feeling of disappointment toward the finale-- in terms of concluding the series?

Would I be able to pretend it's the finale without disappointment of a manner of cliffhangar?
I am sure that's what you're saying.
I just want to clairify that I won't feel like the story is incomplete when I'm finished with Yakuza 4.

Sorry if I'm bothering you.

Yeah. It's a happy ending.

Not bothering at all. Once you get me started on Yakuza topics, it's hard to shut me up.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!

Good to be able to look forward to that without worry.
I am trusting your unbias honesty.
Thank you.
Looking forward to Yakuza 4.
Really loving Yakuza 3.
Believe it or not, I have been playing it for over 40 hours, and I am just on Chapter 6.
I know, I really take my time.
I try to finish all side missions. And I can't help but enjoy the mini games.
I am really loving the tender yet epic plot.
Thank you for answering my questions.
I am looking forward to Yakuza 4 having a clear satisfying finale, capable of being the complete ending to the series.
Thank you again.
ありがとうございました。

Been a big fan of the series since 3, and it made me so mad to hear 5 won't be coming to NA. I really hope Atlus helps to bring it, because that game is really amazing.

I've only played through the first one, but I really liked it. I need to get a hold of the others at some point and play through them as well.

I've played all of the ones that were released here so far. Yakuza 1 and 2 are my all time favorites. I did almost everything in Yakuza 2, except for those shogi side missions.

Has anyone ever beaten Shizuka at darts in Yakuza 3?
She is way too good!

Btw, Yes, I am still on Yakuza 3. I REALLY take my time.
Chapter 10. 90hr 35min.
Before you ask. I never rush. I do as many side missions as I can find with mininum online help. I never avoid a fight. And I enjoy plenty of mini games that never seem to bore me. I REALLY take my time. But I enjoy it.
One of the reasons why besides Yakuza 3, my favorite games are GTAV and Skyrim. Any game that encourages you to take your time by making procrastinating fun, I enjoy.
But, of course, I need to be hooked on the plot.
Which in Yakuza 3's case, I am.
I remember beating Yakuza 1 a long time ago. I did like it, and from the recap it appears better. But, honestly I don't remember having nearly as much fun with 1 as I am with 3.
Just my opinion.

I've always been meaning to play the Yakuza games. I heard it's similar to Shenmue? Correct me if I'm wrong.
