I just started doing a work out that has been working out (haha play on words) for me so far.

1. Play basketball for 30-60 minutes. Running and jumping is great cardio.
2. Do squats (+5 increments every day i.e. I did 50 squats today tomorrow I will do 55...60 the next day etc.)
3. Lunges across the basketball court...increments of 1/3 more of the length of the court everyday.
4. 100+ swings with a baseball bat both right and left handed with +10 increments daily (10 to each side)
5. 100+ overhead swings with a bamboo sword daily +10 increments daily
6. Shadow boxing +1 min everyday (minimum of 7 punches per 10 seconds)
7(ish). I unload trucks at work...and that is a workout.

I realize that all of these things are pretty much sports related but after only a few weeks I can tell that my stamina has increased along with and I have lost a pant-size...so it is a decently good workout just for slimming down.

Walking...

I've thought about starting a legit exercise routine, but then I think, "do I really want to spend my time on something I will not enjoy, when I am perfectly healthy as I am?"

And then I watch some anime, or read a book or something.

Now, I do walk everywhere. Because I don't own a car, I can't drive, and I'm too cheap to buy a bus pass. I also take the stairs when I can. I'm not gonna walk up 8 flights to my apartment, but up to 4 I can easily do. I might buy a bike and start cycling if I find that walking becomes too inefficient, but that's about as much of an exercise routine as I'm ever gonna have.

I just walk about 1.3 mi around 3-4 times a week (to or from work when I don't have a ride). It's not nearly enough, but it's more than I used to do.

Running three and a half miles every day. I just want to stay fit, not work on any muscle tone.

Three different training regimens, on single day rotations. The closest analogy that would be relevant to anybody would be one of the days has a mutated form of high intensity interval training (or submaximal intervals which isn't the same). My resting heart rate is currently 58, below the average. An olympic athlete has a heart rate of 50 and lower.

I do what's commonly known as the "I'm hungry" exercise routine, which involves putting the laptop down, getting out of bed and walking to the kitchen to make food.

Wii U Fit is great!
A pedometer tracks your activity level, then the Balance Board checks your weight.
It figures out your calorie intake based on your activity level and the pedometer tells you
when you have done enough activity to start losing weight. When you need extra activity
it gives you insanely fun and cute excercise games that feature balance, cardio and strength.
It has a Personal Trainer that creates really fun and challenging excercise sets based on your
fitness goals. You can do it anytime, no need to go to the gym, just turn on your TV.
I Love Wii U Fit!
