I wonder if they will change the voice for Eren and Mikasa and Armin when they are older because I don't like Erens VA, as far as a review it was good if you haven't seen the subbed version, if you have you probably will feel like I felt underwhelmed it is still good but it is not great... yet. I do think it will get better fast.

If you listen to the voice before the ED I'm pretty sure you hear Eren's adult voice which seems pretty ok if you ask me.

So me and my sister finally got to see it this morning. And omg. I just. I don't know enough english to express how FRIGGIN AWESOME it was.

And it's no biggie that the opening was cut short...in fact the situation was kinda funny. We were both singing along but then we realized that the words we were singing weren't actually being sung on the TV so that was fun.

And then like...man when Eren and his mama were arguing I just woah everyone is so friggin talented these actors are so amazing I just wanna run around and high five them all

Oh yeah. And we had a little mini party. I made fail frappuchinos and we sat on the ground on a giant pink snuggie and then we took a selfie in front of the TV as you can see on my majestic avatar

well what bothered me about the English Dub of Attack on Titan is the following:
1. the opening song is epic and they barely play much of it, same with closing song
2. what they said in English did not match the subtitles
3. looked like they removed a couple of the cinematics
4. and they did all this to make it fit the time slot provided, well they can not help that, but it is still irritating

but what bothered me most is the butchering of the opening song

it is still a great story and I should be happy it made it to an English dub and got broadcast in the US

to the people complaining about the opening, demarco (the guy who basically runs toonami) stated that something went wrong with the broadcast and the full opening was supposed to be played but wasn't.
They're working on fixing the problem and the full opening should be played next week

I enjoyed the first episode!

I usually don't watch anime dub series, but since I marathon Attack on Titan in one day, I gave it a shot. I'm so used to the Japanese version it's somewhat hard for me to determine what is good and what is bad from the English dub... Eren voice... well it can improve.. Armin, I can't tell yet.. and Mikasa... eh I'll get attached (hopefully)

regardless of you love of hate for the dub cast
you should all be watching to support toonami
why ? because japan is obviously keeping an eye on toonami hence the reason for the simulcast of space dandy
toonami did not approach them about the simulcast it was they who proposed the that deal and from what i heard it was a success!
so it you want more simulcasts of your favorite shows KEEP WATCHING!

If it matters there's a expiration date on AoT now of May 19th. Didn't notice it the other week while I was watching it but wanted to go back through it again to grab a few more images and noticed it this time.

Other than that just not right hearing the VA for Armin in the dubbed version. Use to chuckling along as I try to imagine Yozora or Laura Bodewig drawn in instead of Armin so having a male voice throws it off now. Hope his defense of Eren speech doesn't get chopped up once it's to that point.

Of course the subtitles don't match the dubbing. They have to choose their words carefully in the scripting process in order to match the number of syllables the character is voicing, all while trying to keep the context of what is being said intact. They don't have the same problem in the subbing process, so they are able to translate it as close as possible to the original.

Welp, the second episode I've decided that no ones voice fits the character. And Eren's last sentences at the end of the show was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard, and all though I like it when he's angry, I laughed so hard.

I also really wish Armin Atlert was voiced by Maxey Whitehead. (The girl who voiced Alphonse Elric in FMA!)

All I can say is....I will try to sit through an episode of the English AoT. I know it will not be an easy task.
