Idk, I'm a Scorpio and we are really strict about loyalty and stuff. I can't be friends with someone I don't trust

The literal term for 'trust' is: "belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc."

I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who isn't reliable, good, honest, or effective. A certain amount of trust is needed in all relationships for them to work, and it's usually the foundation that keeps them together in tough times. If you don't trust someone, naturally, you probably don't want to be hanging out with them either.

There are friends, and then there are acquaintances. Friends you trust with your life. Acquaintances you at least know they won't backstab you. Anything less than that, do not associate yourself with them imo.

I hope you don't base real life decisions on astrology.

Yes.
Why would I want to be friends with someone who doesn't RESPECT me enough with the truth?
If I can't trust them with anything, or anything they say, or their actions, then no point in being friends.

Exactly. And the difficulty of that is that hard, so it's best not to trust em too soon.

Friends can't exist without some level of trust, so I'm confused as to why you even asked this question to begin with..

I look for someone who I can trust to keep a long term friendship. If I'm looking at keeping someone around for a long time and we get along and such I'm going to want to trust them. If it's just someone more on the side who I would just go out on the occasional day with just to have a good time, not so much trust would be needed. However I really do prefer being around people I feel are genuine and that I can trust, so hanging out with the latter is something that I will often try to avoid.

Well you can't exactly have a friendship without some level of trust. A friend is someone you know you can trust. An Acquaintance is someone who's only as trustworthy as what you know about them.

yes certainly indeed. a friend is a person that you can anything to. if you don't have trust then why are they your friend? you need trust in a friendship cuz when you're feeling down you will always have that someone that can make you feel better. when you need to get things off your chest then a friend is there. some things you may not want to say at a certain person can be told to your friend who you have trust in. you have trust in that certain friend of yours because you know that they wont backstab you. fro those who do backstab you then you loose you're trust in them. I've been through many situations where trust was lost in a friendship. don't trust people too easily.

Of course you need trust, otherwise he might as well be some random stranger.
