So recently got the new ps3 game and got interested in it. Now what's the exact order of the entire series. This also includes the movies and the ova's, and any sequels to it.

Why's that? I prefer starting from the beginning instead of air date.

You might develop a hate for the older graphical art style if you start with lost canvas first.

The only problem with Lost Canvas is that it the animation ends with only about 1/3 of the manga content used sadly. The anime arounds chapter 94 or so you can easily find places to read it which i highly recommend since Lost Canvas is really good.

I've seen every Saint Seiya thing; movies and ovas. and whatnot except Omega because it's pretty mediocre and Lost Canvas is probably my favorite so it's well worth going and reading it after.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Saint Seiya Lost Canvas Gaiden is a manga about the background of each of the Gold Saints; I would say its the true starting point if you want timeline but there's only like 20 chapters of it translated.

So omega is after the original series?

Yeah in terms of the timeline at the moment Omega is the very last thing.

NOOOOO!!! DO NOT WATCH CANVAS FIRST!

I was in your shoes a few months ago. The PS3 game was coming out and I wanted to watch everything Seiya-related so I could enjoy it more and I did. Listen to the first guy, it's always best to watch in air date format. But that isn't even why I went caps lock on you. Lost Canvas is a spin-off prequel of the original saint seiya, it's not even by the same author and isn't considered canon. And there are a few spoilers about the main show that you shouldn't know about even until the Hades arc (if you played the game you might know them though). I don't know if you've watched Bleach, but it's almost like watching the Past arc about Aizen and the Vizards before watching the rest of the show. You never watch something like that first.

I recommend you watch following an air date format:

1. Saint Seiya (1986) (Consider those four 80's movies as typical filler episodes and follow an air date format with the episodes. Some have spoilers)
2. Saint Seiya Hades OVAs (The final arc of the manga)
3. Saint Seiya movie 5
4. Saint Seiya Lost Canvas
5. Saint Seiya Omega

But if you already know all about the story through the game or don't care about spoilers then it's up to you.
