Bakumatsu Rock Anticipation and Discussion
Posted 7/2/14
This is certainly Deen's nicest looking recent work.

As for the anime, I'm gunna give it a few more episodes. I laughed during the episode, but I laughed at how dumb it was, lol. I liked the transformation scenes, those were glorious and I'd love to see more of them!

Anyway, will wait for a full opinion.

I don't completely understand many things that happened in the first episode. However, this has piqued my interest enough in order to give it a few more episodes. I think the songs need to get better for me to watch it further, though. Singing about your passion for music will only be interesting for so long. Perhaps I'm just partial to American rock music, however...

Gene Simmons's rock had the superior power of blowing other peoples clothes off. Mainly groupies.

But this anime clearly isn't for me. I'll be skipping it.

I liked the first episode a lot, it's one of those series that shouldn't be taken too seriously. The character design is really great, although the hairstyles are a bit out there, but overall I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy this anime.

This show feels so lifeless tbh. I'm only going to be watching this solely for the music now. Didn't even take a single screenshot this time since I was watching the timer run.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: It's like Mermaid Melody and Oh! Edo Rocket had a sexy baby. A sexy baby who's also quite entertaining.

Episode 2

I actually enjoyed this episode. There were a lot of glow sticks for the concert but it fit the atmosphere… When the three of them interrupted that concert and started singing, it felt good. I feel like the shirt ripping is going to be a thing for this series, but I can look past that. The CGI is the only downfall, but I could care less about it. The music that was playing made me over look it. I enjoyed the music.

Episode 2

So Ryoma takes the stage by getting into the concert, then letting everybody know that their music is totally lifeless and he shows them what singing with all the passion means. Yeah, the music is nice, but that's just about it. I only plan to follow one BL show this season, and with Love Stage totally blowing me away that this show doesn't stand a chance. So with that, this show marks my second casualty of the summer season.

After all the girl idol shows, I welcome Bakumatsu Rock with open arms. I enjoy it a lot more than Love Live, or the other ones as its manly as fuck and you won't see all the shitposts because its not filled with overly glamorfied girls, but manly men. There is one thing I hate the most, no two, a bunch of oversexualized lolicons/teenage girls and a weak male lead who "accidently trips over a girl and lands on top of her grabbing her breast," or the like. Bakumatsu Rock has none of that, its pure awesomeness.

Ah fuck it....Can't do it, I just have to break my 3 episode rule for this...God Dam Even Shounnen Hollywood is doing better than this and it is tethering, Shesh can no story do Male Musicians right? FFS put in some decent music, have a decent cast with the chance of depth or something, just don't shit all over the Music genre.

I am sure I fell asleep freaking twice, just hoping I would hear one bang out rock beat I could at least get into....But no Lets keep giving the anime world a reason to stay clear of most idol shows, or Male ones at that....Jojo Adventures Fills the brute quota more than this shit ever could.

Wait is the show suppose to be aimed at BL watchers and the like? if no scratch my post, they are doing that job right I guess, since it is nothing but shallow man service...which is sad as the BL Dramatical also airing which isn't "that music" base has a better beat than this, though a weaker design compared to BakRock.
