Episode 3

Huh, this episode felt like a finale or something.

>LET'S ROCK
I figured they would say something like that.

While I didn't think the songs were too special, I did like how they used some violin tunes at one of the songs.

I don't understand the negative reception here. I think it looked interesting, judging from the 1st episode. I love rock music and feudal Japan, so mixing the 2 is a neat concept. To those of you saying it's going to be a typical idol or man service anime, isn't it a bit early to judge? It might end up being more enjoyable than you thought it would be, who knows?!

Two episodes is usually enough to judge if you can enjoy an anime.
But, as for bad reception, different strokes for different folks. Bakumatsu Rock didn't really strike me as enjoyable either and I like idol shows and manservice shows, but I find it kind of dumb, eh, whatever.

I gave it 3 episodes the big thing for me what happened to the rock revolt!

Another thing it felt more like watching a church choir. Not against God or religions just felt off!

Commodore Matthew Perry.... American war hero... father of the steam navy... captain of the Black Ships... and, most importantly....

...rock legend.

Rock on!! \,,/(^_^)\,,/

Pretty forgettable show. Even the music was average at best. I can't remember my favorite episode from the series but none of them really had a personality or chance for development. Oh well, it's over so time to move on.

Yeah, I was entertained by it... but the same can be said of Gilligan's Island, too =P It was a fun, light-hearted fluff show that didn't take itself seriously (I guess it was the Dai-Shogun of this season hehe!). If nothing else, it gave me something to do for half an hour on an otherwise quiet Wednesday afternoon ^_^

I remember watching the first episode as if it was yesterday. First series in airing, and the first to end. The ending reminds me of World Conquest Zvezda Plot, I hope it gets a second season someday. ROCK!

Fun show. Not great, but worth watching for the entertainment value and the concept at least. The ending was pretty cool, haha.
