If you are in doubt in maintaining or paying for your crunchyroll members, please always refer to the "Contact Us" page here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
***The very helpful crunchyroll staff will assist you in a timely manner.

Well, crunchyroll have axed the CR Bucks system and might put into place a new system, so let's see where that takes us. For now the most likely way to get crunchyroll is by subscribing and gifting yourself. This doesn't really leave much of an option for a minority of people who doesn't want to go through the standard system for their various reasons. For now and with maybe a possibility of crunchyroll putting something into place, these are the only real options.

UPDATE: Verified by sonic720 for PayPal
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-861797/-2014-midyear-best-guy-contest?fpid=48582803

I successfully redeemed my first reward from Swagbucks, the $25 PayPal cash. The money was deposited in my account within a couple business days from when I ordered my reward, on Thanksgiving no less. The service is legit, and you can choose to share as much or as little information about yourself with them besides your name, email, age, and address (for verification purposes with rewards).

If you do the Bing Rewards thing on the web and mobile, you get roughly 26-27 points per day when you max it out; up to 42 on double points weekends or promo days. Takes no more than 5 mins tops per day to max out. Once you get Gold status, which is not hard just takes about a month of searches, you get a discount on the rewards. The 500 Swagbucks reward is 525 points normally, but with Gold is discounted to 475 points. The only catch I see is this:

Limit of 50 Swag Codes redeemed per Swagbucks account.

Meaning, after 50 codes used from Bing Rewards, you are no longer eligible to redeem your points there for Swagbucks.

As for getting points on Swagbucks itself, you can get 30 to 70 free points a day depending some on luck factor. Best way to make points there is do the daily activities, all free and simple, and redeem the daily codes they send out periodically throughout the day (limited time to redeem). Using their search function will also randomly give you bunches of points after so many searches. Small surveys, coupon clip offers, and video activities that take 2-3 mins each also are a quick way to get a few points. If you plan on spending money to buy something somewhere, they also offer Swagbucks per dollar spent at several retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, and such (limited to certain categories of items though). There is also a Swagbucks rewards credit card you can apply for that gives you Swagbucks points with any purchase; similar to cash back or rewards points with other credit cards.

At any rate, on a typical day if you spend 10 mins on SB, you get around 45 points a day on average per month doing free offer stuff. It takes 2,500 points to get a $25 PayPal cash reward. So, it takes about two months to earn that reward if you are just doing it casually in your free time with the free offers only. So, for around two months of points earning you can get close to 4 months of CR anime only membership at the monthly rate of $6.95, which comes out to $27.80, or $2.80 more than the $25 PayPal cash you earn. If you are diligent enough to do the daily points gathering for 5 to 15 mins a day, your CR membership would be paid for for "free" by doing this. It's a good way to get extra spendable monies in PayPal at the very least.

You can redeem SwagBucks for prepaid Visa gift cards too. They have $5 cards for 500 SB, $10 cards for 1,000 SB, $15 cards for 1,500 SB, and $25 cards for 2,500 SB. So, if someone wanted to pay for CR anime only one month at a time they could get a $10 prepaid Visa in around a month doing a combo of Swagbucks stuff and Bing Rewards towards more SB. It takes me 15 to 19 days to get enough Bing Rewards points to redeem for 500 SB with Gold status, with regular status just add two more days. Also, you need to do mobile searches to max out your daily points fully (there are ways to do this with a mobile browser if you don't have a mobile device...).

Well, Fairy Tail is back, and CR promised better connections after Q1, so what the hell. "LAWL"

I've been actually been wanting to do this for a while. I got a coupon for a gift card in the mail, so what the hell. "LAWL"

One thing that interested me though is that CR BUCKS has a BitCoin option. I don't know if I should try it out of curiousity, but I don't think that it's too applicable to the layman folks. Besides, if you're crafty enough to BitCoin, I don't think you need a guide. "LAWL"

I use Rixty, it's not that bad. It should be noted that you can load Rixty with a Green Dot MoneyPak instead of a Rixty card, and they'll even give you full credit for the $4.95 Green Dot MoneyPak loading fee. I do get hit with a $1.50 transaction fee when I buy a $19.95 three month subscription though.

I would try Rixty, but it seems to odd and niche as oppose to a gift card or pre-paid card. Also, it goes toward a "subscription" rather than a one and done thing; the one and done thing is something I prefer. Now upon hearing about the extra fees, I don't think that I want to look into it now.

Although, that Green Dot MoneyPak doesn't sound too bad of an idea. I might look into that one.

Some pre-paid Visa/AmEx/MasterCard cards can be used with Paypal, too.

I used to do this for paying for services I wanted to be very anonymous for. Purchased pre-paid card with cash, created a paypal account with limited information, and added the card to the account. "Vanilla" brand cards worked best.

Also I find the idea of trusting Google over CrunchyRoll amusing.

Very interesting. If I get a chance, I will try another "Vanilla", this time with Paypal. (I gotta try a anonymous purchase one of these days.)

Thanks for the idea.

As for the last statement, people have their preferences. "LAWL"

VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or a Discover

At what part are you getting stuck on?

Are you filling out the forms and such correctly?

Did you get it already? I see a star by your name.

If not, which method are you trying precisely? Are you getting the subscription or the one of the work arounds on this thread?
