now this is does't exactly mean where you are working now, but the career field that you are planning or working towards.

for me, I'm working towards becoming a network administrator. I find computers interesting and like networking.... but kinda hate cisco

Right now I am in college studying Computer Engineering/ Robotics Engineering.

I decided when I was 8-9 that I wanted to build robots (My dad loves mech animes) so now my life goal is to build a giant robot that you can pilot

Pretty cool, you'll be a journalist for dead people. I like it.

As for me, after numerous jobs and several careers, I'm moving towards storytelling in alternative formats/art.

Hm...I don't know. I really do not possess any useful skills, other than being able to tell what a person is like and what they wouldl ike simply by looking at them ( wait, that is useful isn't it?). That and observation skills, I guess with my skill set I would probably be most suited as someone in law, not that I plan too.

That is a hilarious way to put it. I like it (does that make me morbid?)

I have to say your career pursuit sounds a lot more interesting than mine. What kind of storytelling?

I tried going after careers in the motor industry, preferably the technician role after a handful of years studying at my local college. I was looking into the importance of motor vehicle maintenance and performing practical tasks in a garage environment with quite a few cars to work on. Recently I've looked into apprenticeships or part time roles involving basic I.T or somewhere within the administration department of businesses.

But apparently a polite middle class British male with a handful of certificates and qualifications doesn't seem to be qualified for even some of the most basic of job roles currently available.

I was going to pursue a career in the military. Go Ranger and all that high speed crap. I think I've decided to become a history teacher. Not really sure where I'm headed at this point.

Currently a NEET. Want to continue being a NEET.
If I have to choose a job, it'd be an illustrator, while still being a NEET. Sadly I suck at it, and don't even live in Japan, so the it's hopeless. NEET is the only path for me.

Nah, it doesn't make you morbid. Ancient/extinct cultures are a side-hobby of mine. They need the press.

Well we're starting to move into an age where the tech for self-expression is cheaper (well... except for Photoshop, LOL). Every art form has strengths and weaknesses, but now you can blend them together and they're more accessible. They're no longer solely the property of production companies, record labels, or publishing houses. You have more options for whatever you want to say, and there's a lot less interference for putting it out there. For me personally, I can't imagine ONLY writing, or ONLY doing artwork, or ONLY being limited to traditional mediums. It's rather insatiable, actually.
