I am also having this issue and I keep getting the same emails from tech support to reinstall adobe and clear my caches. What's weird is that it is completely random. I can watch an episode or 2 without any problems and then the video ends early again. I am trying to watch Shin Sekai Yori and I feel that I have wasted $8. I like the idea of CR and supporting the creators but I am not going to give them charity. All I ask is for a video player that doesn't suck. I'm going to try to get this working for a little longer but if my torrent finishes downloading before I can watch a video, I'm cancelling my subscription.

Edit: Just noticed that there are no mods that help people here. This section of the forum is just filled with unresolved problems. How pointless.

I've been seeing the same thing since yesterday. Hadn't watched anything fo two days before that, though. I see the issue on any OS (Mac, Win, Ubuntu) all using Chrome, including using the app on my phone (Android KitKat).

Not the end of the world, because I shouldn't really be watching so much this weekend, but... still a little frustrating.

How often do the ads show up? I'm a premium user, so I don't actually get the ads, but I was thinking maybe the system is screwing up when it hits the ad spot in the episode...?

You may want to try to post to Reddit... Seems like CR has a lot if people hanging around there lately.

Same random freezing problem here. I am glad I am not the only one because I would have thought something was wrong on my end when apparently it isn't.

This always happens to me. I'm on a 150Mb/s+ connection, and across multiple PCs.. I can guarantee you it is CR's issue. Just not enough bandwidth.

For crying out loud, take off 1080p if you can't support it! I love you guys to death for what you do, but holy crap.. I can't even get 3 minutes into a video without this nonsense happening.

I've been having this issue too. Who is your internet provider? I am currently on Comcast. After what they did with my Netflix I immediately start to think that now related to any video streaming... though it may not be the case. I also keep freezing and have to restart my browser. Any ideas on how to stop this? Anyway, I'm located in NJ and am having the same issue.

Update: I tried going through step by step with this: http://www.crunchyroll.com/help/?topic=video The Adobe Flash Player Setting Manger seemed to help the most for me. Remains to be seen though if it has any lasting effects..

My provider is Cox, the Ultimate Internet package. Like you, I tried following all of CR's tips to get things going better.. but it's just not happening. If you have issues with Netflix/Hulu/Youtube playing at 1080p, it's probably your problem.. either flash, your device, or your internet..
In my case, nothing has any issue whatsoever.. except CR. Which is sad, cause it's my main source of entertainment.

Same deal. I've tried about 7 different devices and my home connection is 100Mbps down with 5Mbps up. Absolutely no reason for my end to cause problems.

That sucks!! I know the feeling of it being a main source of entertainment - this is pretty much the only way I watch new anime now. I tried the other legal sources: Funimation and Anime Network and those players were terrible for me though it's been over a year since I've tried either of those. You seem pretty tech savvy and I would be inclined to agree with you in your case.. my guess is the issue is the CR servers themselves and how the traffic to your specific location is routed. Have you tried emailing them to ask? I'm assuming being in NJ mine goes into NY but CR itself is apparently located in CA. Anyway, you're definitely not the only one complaining............ aside from this forum on a lot of shows I see constant comments about the issue. Since posting mine improved significantly so flash was a piece of mine... and of course Comcast being Comcast since if I watch in a location with Verizon FIOS in NJ I do not have the issue. Unfortunately my current location Verizon FIOS isn't available (Boo). Currently I can still only watch at 480p. Since you are on Cox Ultimate you already have a faster connection then mine - so it's confusing and wrong that you'd be having stutters.......

At the moment I'm running at around 22.86 down and 5.8 up with speedtest.net which is far less than either of you.

Fix this shit ASAP! I can't even watch a video for a minute or two now without it freezing. It does it even when I'm watching at 720p. I'm on a 50 Mb/s connection, it's not on my end. Get your shit together CR, I'm not paying you a membership fee for nothing!

As of late, the last week or so, flash player randomly crashes when watching anime. At first I thought it was just flash being it's usual crappy self, but it's only on this site. I I go elsewhere to watch stuff I don't have issues.
To sum up my problem, Flash player keeps freezing and crashing on Crunchyroll.

I can't even start videos on CR. I thought it was chromes fault, now I'm in the blame CR camp.
