Are all you guys complaining in the ticket logs?

That's the best you can do, talk about it here, and submit logs. If they can't fix it, we don't pay them. Simple as that.

This issue has popped up every now and then for YEARS. I am astonished they still haven't managed to keep ahead of this problem. I don't have these issues with any other streaming service. They've had years to get a handle on this but I'm ending my subscription at this point.

Same thing here. I already paid a year ahead as the service was impeccable before the buyout. Now I can't see jack on the weekend and during the week it's touch and go on my PC. I gave up on them caring to fix the PS3 version and the only tickets open all say the same thing "it's your connection" when it's CLEARLY server load on CR's end. They simply refuse to either upgrade their servers or buy more servers to handle the influx of new people on the service. I'd rather not pay for a service that I can't use during peak hours. I'll just watch it with commercials for free during the week since it's useless to actually get any benefit out of a subscription. Shame considering I just celebrated my 3 year anniversary.

I just logged a complaint in a ticket tonight. It's ridiculous how bad the service has become. Constant freezing and stuttering make it almost impossible to watch anything. Let's see if they tell me it's MY connection or not.

This keeps happening to me too. It happens every 5 minutes and annoys me to no end as I have no choice but to refresh the page. I sent in a ticket but if they say it's my connection then they're crazy.

It just started doing it to me tonite also . Freezing & studdering . My Xbox 360 played same show just fine , even looked better for some reason. Not happy , new HTPC build , was working fine last night.

It started again for me (after being fairly stable since the end of July) the night before last, and last night as well. Both on the Apple TV app and on the website. At around 9pm PST no episode will play past the first minute or so. They all freeze.

I cannot even watch anime at this point. Just loaded the most recent Akame Ga Kill and had to refresh the page over 20 times. Guess I'll add a support ticket and see if they blame my internet.

I am wondering why there is no actual response coming from Crunchyroll themselves on this support topic. I mean should they at least try to offer some form of explanation? Or just address this? This topic seems to get fairly big. Well I face the same issues from time to time. Here is my speedtest

Well figured I'd let you folks know how I have it working, at least for today.
I am a comcast user, and I contacted customer support. I recently upgraded to the Extreme Speed package the 105m/20m and was given a new modem. Mind you the problem was never my speed, as You can see above before the fix I was getting amazing speeds. But the channel my modem was assigned by the company was limiting my bandwidth (throttling) to high traffic areas. Crunchyroll and cnn.com were both freezing the videos, I was able to stream flawlessly from crunchyroll when I ran a VPN (hot spot made it quick/easy). Now I no longer require the vpn for now, If I see a change I'll update the rest!

The transcript is as follows:

JTristan > Yes, your modem might have reset before. No worries, I made sure that your channel will remain the same even if you reset it on your end so issue won't happen again.

Remember if your using a cable ISP (dsl should not really be channel affected) you might want to contact them and let them know you want to be on a channel with no restrictions.

I also went ahead and contacted my ISP, but they said everything is fine on my end. My bandwidth is fine while connecting to Crunchyroll's servers. They even said themselves it's on their end of everything else is working fine for me, which it is.

Did you use a vpn to see if your able to stream without any freezing yet? I was able to bypass the whole ISP side problem by using Hot Spot VPN. Let me know if you've already tried that.

Also as a side note, comcast did not see any problem between the bandwidth but I use a program called NetSpeedMonitor 2.5.4.0 and when streaming a video from crunchyroll you see the data stutter down to around 5kbps or lower then go back to its 1200kbps+ but almost garunteed video freezing. I also found out that cnn.com videos have an issue just like this as well, when I get freezing on crunchyroll the same happens on cnn.com videos. Try the netspeedmonitor program to see if you are able to witness the actual throttling. If you use a vpn with it you'll see that the data flow never stutters from its normal 1.5mbp/s+ to lower then 500k (atypical streaming behaviour), but without the vpn it throttles to literally 5kbps.

Personally I could give a shit a bout cnn.com but knowing that more then one site helped isolate the issue for me.

Still able to stream pretty normal at this point so I'm fairly happy still!
