So since this is the age, at least in America, for you to be legal to drink, I'm wondering on what you guys did on your 21st birthday or at least plan to do.

I'll be turning 21 in November and most likely don't plan to do much. Probably have a drink with my family and watch some anime. I'll also have started my next college semester so it'll be close to finals time around that time for me. I also normally dont celebrate my birthday, and haven't for the past several years.

I hear from my friends about all the stories they had on their 21st but I don't really plan on having anything like they did. I'm just wondering what you guys have done or will do on your 21st birthday.

I'll stay locked up in my room using the computer. Same as every other day.
Unless I'm thrown out into the streets by my family for being a NEET that is. In which case, I'll be dead before I'm 21.

I haven't really celebrated my birthday in years (normally I just go out to dinner or something). My friends will probably drag me to a bar, which is fine with me as long as I'm not the one who's paying, since alcohol is not cheap.

I sat on my ass and studied for upcoming tests. I did head to the liquor store that weekend and pick up a bottle of Bacardi though. Rum is a good thing.

I don't drink, so I just made a virgin strawberry Margarita for my birthday that year, shared some with my roommate and her boyfriend, and left it at that. I was also surprised with an Italian soda from the girls on my floor earlier that day because they couldn't find the stuff for a virgin Pina Colada (...let's just say nobody at my uni drinks.) I think I also had a bottle of sparkling cider somewhere around that week, though not on the day of. On one end I sound like a goodie two-shoes, but on the other end I'm sure my liver is grateful. >w>;

lets see...

16th birthday was same day as GCSE exams (maths specifically), 17th was AS level exams (maths again), 18th was A level exams (... also maths as well), 19th everyone was busy with someone else's party whom I didn't know and wasn't going to crash either (including some family... they managed to earn some of my mum's ire that day), 20th I was working a temp job 2pm - 10pm in other city with long commute, I didn't see any family for almost a month spite living in the same house (was celebrated as a small pub meal with family much later).

So, by the time my 21st birthday came around (having already dismissed every other milestone event) I had stopped even caring about it. So it was celebrated at my parents insistence at a Chinese restaurant we had all thought might be worth trying out.

I was in the Army, stationed in Germany at the time, I went to a bar called the Metropol where I danced and drank till midnight.
Afterwards I went to a bar called the Park cafe and drank more. I was so drunk that when I was heading back to the barracks, I punched a light pole for getting in my way. When I did get back to the barracks, I ripped a one way street sign out of the ground because it had the never to tell me what to do. But since I didn't want the MP's to catch me with the evidence I took it over to the post's golf course and tossed it in a water trap. Once I had done that I saw the 7th hole flag marker, I grabbed it and tried to through it around like a javelin. It didn't fly so well so I ripped the flag off of it and tried again, it flew much better but then I couldn't find the stupid thing again.
So I went back to my barracks, and crashed. As my head was spinning around in a circle trying to sleep, we were notified that our site was being activated and we all had to go to our TAC site. Once there, I started moving anti aircraft missiles around.

Those were the good ole days LOL

I did absolutely nothing different. It was my family (because I have no friends) who pressured me to drink. They still ask me if I want to drink to this day and it pisses me off every time. People are as stupid as high-schoolers trying to make you give in to peer-pressure, or have some sort of "rite-of-passage". It's idiotic and immature to pressure or harass someone into doing something unhealthy. I have enough health problems, I don't intend to drink poison too.

Now, I don't judge people who drink, that doesn't bother me. Just do what you want to do. Please don't listen to your friends or anyone else who tells you that you *have* to go out drinking on your 21st birthday. If you don't want to, they should respect that. If you want to go do that, that's fine too =D
