Well, I don't necessarily mean which series you are watching.

I mean like how the hell can you remember what is happening in all the series, character's names, etc? There's no way I could do that with 30+ series. I can hardly do it with 5-6.

I am not quite sure how to answer your question. It is the same as learning multiple subjects in school at once. Granted that the most subjects ever learned at once is around 8ish. Pay attention?

Anime structure is quite often linear nowadays. Take harems for example if there are multiple harems in one season I do not have to remember much in terms of what the anime show. I will always have an innate knowledge the protagonist will fall on one of the girls and grab her breast; crotch shots are always abundant. The real essence to remembering anime's theme. Once you know the theme you are applying superficial structures to the anime, such as: characters, character action, specific scenes (crotch shots), etc...

In short, you just need to remember what the theme and in the end it all plays out the same.

You know people that usually intake an enormous amount of content, i.e. drugs or entertainment, have a tendency of wanting to feel that first high that they got from such content. The only proper way to remedy this is to intake more and more.

In short, are you still looking for that same first experience, that feeling of somewhat euphoria from watching Anime?

At this point, I believe for me it is to intake a large quantity to find a quality anime. All the anime this season, Knights of Sidonia made me read the manga.

But no, not really trying to get the first high again.

I see.

Another thing. Can you just outline your daily schedule? I am just really curious. You're a 20-some guy with probably some kind of career. I mean this is just really interesting.

I jump around through hundreds of series at a time. I keep a database on my computer and I update it with new anime every season, and remove anime once I've completed it, or it's just become so bad, I know I won't finish it and delete it. Been doing it that way since around 2007-08. On non busy days I might watch 19-20 different series, on busy days like 5-6. The only time I'll watch a single show and nothing else is if it REALLY hooks me and I can't stop.

I find doing it this way keeps any anime series from getting tedious. The downside is that I tend to forget some events that happen in an anime. Fortunately, Wikipedia has episode recaps for many animes to jog my memory when I've left an anime sitting for a long time.

I watch 15-25 out of current seasons, 6 or so backlog titles at a time switching inbetween them as the mood strikes. Lately though with current shows I stagger them a few weeks at a time letting 3 or so episodes build up so I can watch them all at once.

Hurts when I'm browsing forums at work or wherever and can't enter the discussion topics to avoid spoilers.

Welp, I'm still pretty new to crunchy roll, so I've got about 7 or so going atm.

I tend to marathon through anime that is already completely released and available-it's the newer series that I tend to queue the hell up on. :P

How the hell do you keep them all straight???

Yeah, this^^

I don't get hung up on names...that's why anime has odd hair colors. To be truthful, the first couple episodes, I don't always remember which one it is, but it doesn't usually take very long to go: "Oh this one."

For instance, I'll bet AK can name these easily, and I probably have given way more clues than he needs:

White hair bombshell wants pretend boyfriend (uses blackmail, notebook with Chuunibyou in it) to keep other suitors away.
Early references to JoJo's
Orange hair patenko girl next door
Pink hair tsundere

Orange hair psychic, tragic past with mom's rejection first episode
Bland but nice boyfriend
Psycho cop lady

Short blond president, bites when angry.
Pink serves tea
Yellow eats meat, talks to cats
Purple wins at internet chess
Maid spins

Jousting
Ditzy pink newbie

Etc...
