Yeah, they made it very clear in the first episode that the real Nobunaga's marriage with Kichou was political. He doesn't actually care about her. This is not NTR.

Episodes 2 and 3:

I felt bad for laughing during this deeply moving moment but that placement was too cheeky

Due to last week's delay I decided to bundle episodes two and three together. Honestly, I did have some hesitation about continuing this anime. Between the strange animation style and the fact it is yet another Nobunaga anime I was considering just dropping it. However, I'm seriously glad I didn't , this anime has far surpassed my original expectations! After the first episode, the animation style felt much smoother and due to the historical nature of the anime it actually fits much better than previous Nonunaga styles. The comedy is truly enjoyable as the modern references are placed perfectly and make for some enjoyably witty moments. The characters are also very entertaining with Nobunaga being both a witty comedian as well as a both caring and powerful figure. I also liked the twist in episode three where Kichou's father was ended up being from the future. It has made me interested in discovering what other historical figures are people from the future. Overall, this anime has far surpassed my original expectations and so far I'm really liking it, I'd give episodes two and three both a rating of a B+. I'll be looking forward to this anime weekly from here on.

personally, I do not like the art.

But I can put that aside.

This has been a surprise series to me. I watched it and I really didn't expect to like it this much.

Despite the weird art, I can still sit down and watch this.

I really find this enjoyable.

I really want to see where it'll go.
I am really curious.

So they revealed the Viper of Mino is another time slip person who made the most of his life in the Sengoku period for the last 30 years and became what we know as Saito Dosan. That is rather clever in how it weaves a bit of history with the strange time slip angle.

Next episode we see that Kinoshita Tokichiro has made it in to Nobunaga's castle and made contact with him. Looks like he is about to assassinate Nobunaga, but I'm sure something will happen. After all, Kinoshita will eventually take on the name Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

This is becoming a very good anime.

I really enjoy Mamuro's work with his character, staying true to the high school student Subaro while in a different time zone ,trying to be Nobunaga in his own way and changing history ...well just a little LOL.

He is actually winning the hearts of the people in his land and making an impression slowly in his house. This is basically the way to get true loyalty .I wonder if he going to change the class system ..

Cant wait to watch and see what he does next ...got to check the history book first ha ha ha

Episode 4:

A small gif but it's still pretty sweet:

Another solid episode, Saburou truly is the wisest fool to ever live. As usual Nobunaga was called a fool by those below him and like usual they were proved wrong by Saburoul. By working with "LEADER!" and the some of the farmers he was able to completely disable the enemy forces, win the battle and convince his Generals without ever having to give a single fuck. The Generals are now going to join the growing gang of people who read way too much into Nobunaga's "wise words" and will undoubtedly create many more hilarious moments. This anime is definitely the sleeper hit of the season: it's both enthralling, incredibly funny and there's a strong group of character who all work well together. It sucks that the simple fact this is another Nobunaga title will put people off. I can understand their frustration's but this anime definitely deserves to be given a try. Personally if I had to rate it, it would probably be in my top 10 this season which is very good considering there's a lot of very good anime airing right now.

I can't believe how many people are too stubborn to give this anime a second try. What an undeserved hate this anime is getting =/..

By now I can certainly say Nobunaga Concerto is one of my favorite anime of the season. The story, humor and characters are just in my taste and I recommended it to multiple people already(Telling them to ignore the first 'wtf' reaction from the animation and to just go with it.)

Saburou is actually starting to be quite the complex character, he's hilariously funny but when it comes to it he gets stuff done and he certainly cares a lot about the people around him. The fact Miyano Mamoru is voiceacting him only makes things ten times better of course ;)..

I at least am very curious about what our fool-hero will do next, hopefully we'll get to enjoy 24 episodes as I feel like 12/13 eps might not be enough for me!

I actually introduced this anime to my club and I told them that it is different and it may seem not attractive as an anime at first

but the story is actually very interesting and character is well written and voice acted and they should give it a try\
.I wished I could show it but my top anime top pick for the anime viewing during the activity was Barakamon which is another excellent anime this season.
But what makes this anime interesting is the fact that Subaro is somewhat changing history in his own way and it makes me curious where this anime goes with the story..

.its all about what if Nobunaga was and did..... then this would come to pass..curious ...very curious indeed...

I like the concept and the background art, but dislike the character art I'll still watch it though cause it's a great anime
