AP finals are here, some of you might have taken yours already.

Is anyone else ready for their exams? What classes are you taking? Share horror stories about your classes so I don't cry about APUSH maybe.

I don't take APs anymore (gots real college classes to deal with now), but the mention of APUSH brought back unfortunate memories. I got a 3 on the APUSH test when I took it... 2 or 3 years ago. I do not for the life of me know why. My effing major is history, that shouldn't have happened. D:

Got a 5 on AP Euro though, so redemption achieved.

I shall tell you a horror story... I took AP Art History my junior year. Very fun class. Teacher was a very chill guy and I liked him, personally. But therein lied the problem. See, we went the whole year without actually doing anything, and therefore never actually learned anything. I was mistakenly led to the assumption that, despite our lack of work, I was absorbing the information from our textbook quite well, because on the (very) few tests we had, I got the highest marks in the class. Aced 'em. So I felt pretty confident going into the exam.

And then I actually went into the exam. And I knew nothing.

The multiple choice I could semi-bullshit, but when the essay portion came 'round, I literally just sat there for an hour staring at my papers and wishing I was just having a terrible, terrible nightmare.

Anyways, I came outta there feeling like shit, then I got my scores in July and felt like even more shit. Got a 2. I cried.

I am normally a very good test-taker, and this was the first time I had flat-out failed any test in my life. Ever. It was traumatizing.

It may be too late already, but if you are even the slightest bit unsure about how the test will be administered, or any doubts about how you've retained material or your teacher's particular method of teaching, ADDRESS THEM NOW.

I took an AP Chem class once, made a 98% on the final, If I'd have actually done some homework that semester (or ever really) I might have actually passed the class.

My school didn't offer an AP Computer Science course, so I just bought a book and signed up for the test. Like an idiot, I put it off thinking I had all the time in the world, and ended up having to read the whole thing in a span of one-week, right before the test. It was like two to three chapters a night, and I had to retain it.

I felt like I did really well on the multiple choice, but I didn't even have enough time to finish the free response portion. Since the two sections are weighted 50/50, and I only finished three out of four questions on the free response, you can imagine how surprised I was when I got a score of 5 when it was all said and done. I still don't know how I pulled that off.

Working on the first part, the majority of the teachers for the course know next to nothing about the exam.
Best part of a moving trip is having to take online classes (intense sarcasm)
In other words, I pretty much had to teach myself the entire APUSH curriculum and I'm out of state so I have to go back to take the dang darn test anyway.
For any other lurkers in virtual school programs, just don't take APUSH ;-;

Pysch, Macro, Micro and APUSH

I am a natural history buff so APUSH isn't so much a prolbem for me.

Through Self Studying for Pysch, Macro and Micro is annoying as hell.

I don't have that much horror stories. Other than sitting in the theater and freezing to death,

Through I have to say one thing, easy AP teachers are bad for APs. I had an Ap Euro teacher who was easy as hell. You can give homework at the end of a marking period and still get full credit even when it was due at the beginning!! Anyway basically everyone who took the test was lucky to get a 4. People who ask me how did you get a five on AP Euro will be disappointed when i try to give advice because what worked for me was basically start learning random facts or play history games since freshman year which won't work for the last 10 days before APs. However since AP weeks are big at my school, we won't get much other homework in other classes so thats a plus.

I can't wait to have DBQ nightmares through...

Yuck. I don't even want to talk about that. ...But I will, because I need to vent. I have APUSH as well, and AP English. Testing for English began last week, and I'm almost done with it. I'm starting my APUSH finals next week, and the amount of regret I have for taking two advanced classes is incredibly high right now. I took AP Studio Art next year for my Senior year, because my schedule is made up of 98% elective art classes next year, and one full year make-up math credit. Might as well challenge myself for all the BSing I'm about to do.

I know for sure I am taking regular U.S. Govt. Instead of APUSG next year //Cringes
