Right now half my anime are showing as not completely watched. Since I often watch them on my tablet, I miss out on the latest release. I have a busy life and often just check quickly whether there is a new episode.
It doesn't help when I click on the episode and just scroll to the end. It still shows as 50-75% watched and the next episode doesn't show in my queue.

This is more a nuisance then a problem but I would like to know if I can do something about it.

This happens to me quite often, and I even posted about it once, but nobody said anything. Unfortunately, I have no solution. Usually what I do is once the episode is over, I restart it. If it asks to "restart or resume", I resume, and skip to the end. That typically fixes it but not always. I've missed a few new episodes because of this, cause it never went to "coming soon" because it always thought I was about 80% into the episode...

Just for sake of the record, I'm using CR on Android platforms (Amazon Kindle HDX and Amazon Fire TV) .

Speculation for CR: I think this has something to do with the buffering. The client loads the buffer, and when you reach the end of that buffer, it updates the CR servers with your current position, and if necessary, re-loads the buffer. But if the episode ends before it needs to re-load the buffer, it does not update. I've heard rumors of a new Android app "sometime", perhaps this will be addressed then.

Thank you for your reply. At least it's good to know that I'm not the only one.
My tablet is also Android (Galaxy tab2 7"). My pc gives the same problem by the way. It doesn't seem matter where I watch it either.

I have this same problem on my Nexus 7 2013 tablet when I pause and put it in sleep mode in the middle of an episode. It will only think I've watched up to that point after I've finished the episode. It hasn't been a big enough deal to me to contact CrunchyRoll directly yet though. Not even sure if they have an Android developer right now.

Hmm, I haven't looked at this yet.
I sometimes pause a show but I can't recall if it's all of the ones that show as partly watched.

I don't use the queue, but I've run into the situation where I'm showing a series to someone else, and a episode will load partway through instead of at the beginning, which is annoying. I am wondering if there are any settings I'm missing, that could "clear" all episodes as viewed (or not viewed) in a given series.

Not in a specific series, but you can clear your entire /history with the Clear History button.

Ok, thanks! I am still hoping they can come up with a non-nuclear option.

Well, there is, sort of, but it's not "official", even though one of the mods came up with it. You need to be a little technical and go into the browser element editor to be able to do it, though... Read the rest of the thread starting with this post:

I've been able to get that to work in Chrome, at least. I don't do it much though, only if I find it absolutely necessary.
