Remember to explain in great detail on your opinion.
List two examples of the worst way to end an anime and manga. You can list an anime and manga as another example but I rather you list two of your own.

My Turn:

I hate those ending that end where the main character dreamt everything that happen, along with flashback endings.

The worse way to end an anime is to keep milking the story for money.

Up to a certain point it gets repetitive and dumb. Looking(ed) at you guys: kimi no iru machi, bleach, one piece.

everything resolved without any effort... (on the characters' part)

I think the worst way to end a manga or anime series is in mid story with absolutely no resolution. There is a long list of manga this has happened. For anime, look for series like Mayo Chiki where the manga and light novels actually went all the way to a conclusion and the main character actually selected a girl.
To be honest, this kind of thing is less likely to happen with anime series because they are purchased in blocks (coures, seasons, etc.). This means that they can tie up the story (even if it means rushing the story).

unresolved endings... or in cases like Hamatora: "TO BE CONTINUED"

First that comes to mind is any series with Romance, whether it be the focus, or sub-plot, and they leave it open ended leaving it up to you to decide who ended up with who. This doesn't include obvious Harems that should be Harems.

After that... this isn't usually how a series ends... but it happens sometimes I guess, and happens ALL the time in Shonen: When the protags get their asses handed to them by the villains, then by the end, through the power of friendship, they beat the hell out of the villains.

Last would be what was already said and that would be where seasons end, hoping for another season, but it NEVER gets that continuation.

It hasn't ended, as the continuation was announced right after. I think you meant MAGICAL WARFARE.

it wasn't announced immediately after, though. it still took them a few weeks. the whole thing still left a bad taste in my mouth.

as for magical warfare... I gave up on that POS halfway through. if it does have a "to be continued" at the end, and I DID actually watch that thing to completion, I would feel so incredibly trolled.

The two heroines were in a relationship with each other. You missed out.

The Soul Eater ending, pretty much a "by the power of friendship I the great Maka will take you down!" bullshit.

In Fairy Tail that happens a bunch but that's the charm of it. The motto is "Their Magic Spells Friendship" after all

saber and shana in a yuri relationship..... if that was the only part of the show, I might watch it. but since it comes with everything else attached, I still don't think I could watch it.

It isn't even friendship that did it... it was just courage... which is worse... DX

However, the manga, while having a more open ending, is infinitely better at telling a story. I would check the manga out. I love it, myself. My all time favorite manga. XD

Anyway, the worst way to end a series? Hitman Reborn manga. The worst ending conceivable for that series. Made me waste my time reading the damn thing. :/

Other bad endings: Original FMA anime. Cause Nazis... and other plot stupidity.
End of Eva: Tang... and Shinji.
And there are probably others that I just can't think of right now due to laziness. XD

I don't really care about Soul Eater that much. I never had. It was just on Toonami for a long time that I got attached now it's got Blue Exorcist which rocks
