But you can only condense so much. Ever seen an American History textbook? Barely any information, might as well not learm amything.

Anime like the recent Blazblue adaption really showcased how bad condensing content can be. Let alone the lazy everything else. They even hired the va`s from the game, talk about 0 effort!

Jojo's was perfectly condensed however, a model example.
Few shows manage so well.

I wouldn't call hiring the VA's from the game 0 effort.

I don't necessarily think anime would be better without source material, but "Soranowoto" is an excellent example of a great anime that was entirely original.

I think a big issue some people have is if they have seen the source material for an anime adaption and then if one small thing is changed they say " OH THIS SUCKS " even though it is nothing big. People never judge from an anime standpoint after seeing the source material which is irritating. That being said i am not saying that there are not adaptions that are not bad. I will completely agree with adaptions that don't have a finished source material being annoying usually.

I disagree. Although it IS annoying when an anime is left unfinished due to the source material not being over yet, it doesn't change the fact that over 75% of anime comes from manga and LN adaptations so if there wasn't any and only full completed storues we would lose shitload of anime

Aso ka.

The assignment is to pack in the thrills, or just get the assignment done. Whether educational or entertainment, having plenty to chew on fends off the boredom demons.

I wouldn't call it free, but they put no additional effort in casting, and most of those voices were mini cameos at best.

Its okay to make anime to advestise the manga or light novel. No problem with that.
BUT, once the source ends, damn animate the rest of the story as well. Business? No, a matter of pride.

I don't know if it would be better off, but i'd definitely prefer it that way.

Recently, its really starting to annoy me. I'll watch a fantastic show and come to an unfinished ending which almost ruins it for me personally. No matter how good the show is, if it doesn't have a proper ending, then something feels wrong to me.

Listen to your favorite song. Now, imagine if that song just stopped half way through. I'm not saying that you just stop listening to it - no, it literally stopped, as in, the rest of the song doesn't exist and it just cuts off. That's how I feel when watching anime with unresolved endings.

But I suppose its easier to base it off of source material than to come up with an original story from scratch. I don't blame them, but for goodness sake, at least wait till its done!!! Unless its a 4-panel manga or something not plot-heavy, at which point I'm all for the adaptations.
