Are wisdom teeth causing you pain and making you as cranky as a teething child?

Never had my wisdom teeth removed. Never will unless my skull hits the pavement at 70-mph.

They still act up once in a while. I laugh at them and drown them in Aleve.

Not going to sleep under the blade. No way.

Owwwwwwieeee, Wisdom teeth...at least I had Mine removed under anesthesia.

Then for the next couple Weeks, My entire face felt as swollen up as a Basketball, and for that matter, it probably was. At least I had a very generous Maxillofacial surgeon when it came to the bit about Painkillers. I may have been swollen, but for those couple Weeks, I didn't feel much of anything at all, haha.

G'luck when it DOES eventually come to You having to have them removed! ....IF it does!

My wisdom teeth are currently growing in and I'm dreading my next dentist visit as she will probably tell me if I need to get them removed or not . I assume I will because my teeth are already pretty cramped. I guess it would be better to go through a few weeks of pain now than have them causing more trouble in the future .

Never removed mine since they never hurt or bothered me in anyway.

I went to my dentist and they said they'll set up an appointment with a doctor to examine my wisdom teeth to see if I need them removed or not. The only thing that bothers me about my wisdom teeth is that the bottom 2 are at an awkward position and food gets stuck there. I have to be removing food with a toothpick every time I eat. I don't want surgery. I don't like surgery.

Only the wisdom tooth on my right side came all the way in, and did so quite comfortably. it's not in the way at all, so no reason to get it removed.

I still have my wisdom teeth in my dentist said I can keep them, however, they are not fully in and not really causing my pain

You do know you don't have to be put to sleep for it right?

I got mine removed with just a local anesthetic because I was too poor for anything more. Didn't hurt at all and the guy literally took less than 5 minutes to remove all of them. Now I'm pain free.

I was only born with one wisdom tooth and it is not suppose to ever be an issue. Knock on wood

I have wisdom teeth. They don't cause me any pain but my teeth are weirdly aligned in a way that the back ones touch but the front ones don't when I close my mouth. I can still eat just fine, but I guess 7-8 years without seeing a dentist'll do that to you.

I'm 22, yet my wisdom teeth haven't done jack squat. I have all four, but they don't seem to be coming in, hurting, or otherwise messing with the alignment of my other teeth. As long as they're not bothering me, I'm keeping them.

Yep. Just a bit of late day drama to keep the thread lively and engender discussion.
