No idea why but a few months ago a window update came out and updating it disabled flash for all browsers on my laptop. I was able to fix it but then another one came a week later and the same thing happened. I came to a conclusion that it was the windows updates doing it and it'd fix itself, it did. Now I suddenly refresh the page and flash is disabled on Crunchyroll (and possibly other websites). I can't post comments on articles or videos, anything with a spoiler tag or an image can't be viewed in the forums and on the main website the anime doesn't show multiple ones, just one. I also can't manage my queue. I've tried deleting and reinstalling Chrome and doing the about//plugins thing and nothing works.

I also get ads saying to update Chrome or Internet Explorer and I know they are virus links yet they keep popping up.

perhaps you got a bug during IE's little incident earlier in the month ( i do not believe it is fixed yet).

That sounds more like a javascript problem than a flash one. Do you have any extensions or addons installed? Can you post a screenshot of those ads you mentioned?

Is this the type of pop-up you're seeing?

If so, it might be this (or some variant of it):

- Remove Update-browser.org pop-up virus (Removal Guide)

If you are seeing pop-up ads from Update-browser.org whenever you are opening a new tab within Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome, then your computer is infected with an adware or potentially unwanted program.

If that's not it, you might find some help here -- http://malwaretips.com/blogs/ -- if you feel your computer is infected. It sounds like it might be and maybe that infection is disabling your Flash or other parts of your browsers (such as javascript as beardfist mentioned).

This is definitely a malware/adware thing, so you should get something like malwarebytes and get rid of it. If your computer won't let you download it, then download it on a different computer and then install it via a flash drive.

It could very well be. Just run a scan and delete everything it finds. If there are still problems after that, then just post in here again.
