Yeah but in comparison their video player suuuucks. Plus, Crunchyroll has more shows. Daisuki only has Aniplex shows and Gundam, plus a few extras.

If you were not a premium user at CR, however, which site would you rather view the same series at: CR, with only 360p resolution and multiple ads, or Daisuki, with higher resolution and only one pre-roll?

I assume when you say their video player sucks, you are talking about presentation or lack of features, as I've never had a problem with their video streams.

You also missed that they have one exclusive simulcast this season (M3 ~Sono Kuroki Hagane~), and they have Nekomonogatari Black, which you will not find neither here at CR or at Hulu, despite being from Aniplex.

The problem I have with the Daisuki player is that it auto-adjusts the resolution according to how your internet is. And my internet is very spotty, so the quality is changing often. I find it way more distracting than ads.

But of course, I may just be something of a Crunchyroll loyalist. You are right about those other exclusives, but I still think CR has the better selection.

I didn't like G gundam at all, I just found it dumb. It made me cringe so much. I also disliked Seed, so freaking emo. Never finished the first season and never plan on going back to it.

You find Seed more emo than Neon Genesis Evangelion? Or rather what worked for you on NGE that didn't on seed?

Hmm, if I have to say it, while it did have the same whiny attitudes, NGE did have those kids being manipulated. I guess the biggest issue for these has to do when I saw them. I saw NGE when I was a preteen, like 11 or 12, and that left a really big impression on me. Seed I saw when I was much older, maybe 17 or 18 and just didn't ring with me.
Now a days, though, Shinji annoys me to no end, I still love the series overall, but I can't deny his annoying aspects. Also, Asuka, to a lesser extent. I have a hard time recommending NGE to anyone. It's one of those shows that I watched at the right time for me to forever love it.

G Gundam is like a good place to start too, so much nostalgia. Though Unicorn is a masterpiece, too.

I'll echo what others have said:

If you like Macross, I'd start with the original Mobile Suit Gundam, and then following chronological order.

MSG > 08th MS Team > 0080 > 0083 > Zeta > ZZ > CCA > Unicorn > F91 > Victory

This follows the UC time line, where as following production order will have you skipping around.

Non-UC Gundam is hit or miss. Most of them are meh at best. In my opinion, the order of them goes, from best to worst, like this:
Gundam X (Totally not enough love for this, easily the best non-UC)
Gundam 00
G Gundam
Gundam Wing
Gundam AGE
Gundam Build Fighter
Gundam SEED/Destiny (This is just garbage. Poor plot line, blatantly overpowered characters with no flaws, and suffers from a massive and highly noticeable amount of stock animation. Be prepared to see the same Zaft mobile suit floating in place for scene transitions 4~5 times per episode.)
Turn A Gundam (This is just... no. Totally crap.)

Gosh dang, some of the timelines you people have laid out for Gundam look so complicated! I didn't know so much lore was behind it! But you don't have to watch the series chronologically to understand it do you? I watched SEED and that's the only one I've seen (it sucked btw). Another question: which gundam series is it where the people piloting the gundams wore like a suit and controlled the gundam through their movements? I saw it a long time ago on cartoon network and can't remember it.

No, you don't really need to watch the UC Timeline in order. You'll miss out on references, and some series might spoil parts of the others... but as a whole they're written well enough to be self-contained. It does benefit you to watch them in order though. You'll get to see the progression of several characters who span all or most of the series, as well as the slow upgrades in technology. It's pretty neat.

The Non-UC ones don't have an order at all. The one you're talking about is G Gundam.

Char's Counterattack, F-91 and Unicorn are where you should start.
