Anyone else have issues where video's won't play after the Java and security update that was pushed out this week for IE 11? When I change it to IE 10 compatibility, it says my javascript is off, or out of date. Shockwave is running, and I can't update java because it is windows 8.1 SP1

Edit: Guess it was something with windows update in general, possibly with Java, because I can't play it in Waterfox either. It gives me the list of shows, but if I click on one, it doesn't open the player..

Java should have nothing whatsoever to do with CR's video (or most any other site, for that matter). I have never had it installed on this system, and have never had a problem with videos at CR or other sites.

Also, despite the name Java and Javascript have no relation to each other. Frankly, I wish Sun (the owner of Java at the time) had sent Netscape a cease & desist letter at the time when they rechristened LiveScript to JavaScript, as it would have avoided a lot of confusion by less tech savvy users.

If you actually have Java installed (it should appear in Programs & Features in the Control Panel) and you don't know of a specific program on your system that actually requires it, I would uninstall it. Even if it hasn't caused your current problem, is a security risk if you don't need to have it.

If you haven't disabled System Restore, you can always try rolling back to a date prior to the update. If that resolves the problem, and it returns when the update is applied again, you'll have confirmation of the source of the problem.

CR video would suddenly skip ahead to the next episode while in the middle of an episode sometimes when I use MSIE 11.

My "solution" was to download and use Firefox just for CR..............

Well it works on IE 10 on my Win7 system, and it worked yesterday on my 8.1 system, and according to the update logs, my last updates was the 13th.

Wondering if it was just a glitch with CR site, because it is now working fine on my computer, and hadn't done anything, not even rebooting. It had just sat for a couple hours at a locked screen.
