Completely agree.

And also what Eric said at 7:47 was pretty accurate. :')

"No that's cartoons, that's for children. Then they'll go see Frozen 12 times, and the Lego Movie 10 times, so you can freaking watch anime people."

Never got that far, the shit english dub annoyed me too much :P
And completely agree with Eric of course.

That girl that said everything was better subtitled. She needs to watch FMA Brotherhood and Yu Yu Hakusho. Those are amazing English dubs.

My reaction to her comments was: as expected from a teenager who's likely never heard of Cowboy Bebop.

And to everyone complaining about the girl thinking it's like Pokemon, answer me this honestly: do you really expect all teens to know what anime is? Like it or not, anime is quite a niche medium.

I liked it. I cringed the entire time, but I think it's cool that they did this.

That asian girl, however, was just too overbearing. You know there's a problem when someone says "feels" to describe something or, hell, even use that word outside of the internet.

I agree with both things.

And the sad truth is that people stereotype things all the time. I do it, everyone does it. If you're ignorant towards something, you can only use what little knowledge you have of it to make sense of it. For that girl, she probably only knew of Pokemon, saw Attack on Titan, and put one and two together.

Most girls that have never watched anime would probably have some very similar answers.

Actually I found those reactions to be quite a bit of what I expected. Given the nature of the show and general American trends those were rather good reactions.

That Asian girl was a little hard to watch though. I can actually deal with ignorant non-fans quite easily, it's overbearing fans that I can't stand.

They are called mainstream fanboys apparently.

Mainstream or not, I really can't stand people that fanboy attitude. FMA is my favorite series, I consider that pretty mainstream. I enjoy both FMA:Brotherhood and the original FMA. I will say though that I think the original has a more clever story, while overall I enjoy watching FMA:B better. More hardcore fans want to rip my throat out for saying even that. So you can say, I am an anime fan weary of other anime fans. Although I am sure if I followed baseball or Star Trek, I would be saying the same thing about fans of those. That blind loyalty just confounds me.

It was about what I expected. You had teens with no experience with anime, there were mainstream fans who watch the popular stuff and the one weeb girl. Honestly I wasn't really upset with what the non fans said sense i don't expect non fans to have much to say about anime (like I wouldn't have much to say about Game Of Thrones) but that weeb girl represents everything I hate about hardcore anime fans.

''yuuuuck, english dubs are so bad. They just use google translate.''

Yeah, nice try. You clearly know everything about the anime industry.
