Shugo Chara
When I was 11 a lot of girls loved Sailor Moon, so magical girl anime is probably a good bet.

Squid Girl
Hilarious fun for all ages. I've had my 6 year old niece watch it and she loved it. And my 62 year old dad likes it as well.

Non Non Biyori
Probably one of the best moe slice of life on this site with zero objectionable content. She'd probably like it, or she could find it boring. Hard to tell with that genre.

Well your opinion is disrespectful, you should apologize.

You should apologize for making a 11 year old girl cry.

Wouldn't be the first time I've made an 11 year old girl cry

it all depends on the girls tastes. Just saying she's a girl and 11 one can't recommend to well.
If she was way younger and didn't have to varied tastes, then I'd recommend slice of life's like Non Non Biyori, Hidamari Sketch, ARIA, Minami-ke, and Ichigo Mashimaro.
Also one that someone mentioned which is a mahou shoujo series: Shugo Chara. I'd say it's a great introduction to the Anime world.

^^ try that one.

spirited away

side note, if anyone mentions that anime you are a douche...

I am somewhat afraid to ask what anime would make you a douce....you know in-case I mentioned it lol

Well there are a few lol. Boku no Pico is definitely one.

Another is School Days. However, I recommend that any anime veteran who hasn't watched School Days watch it. I also recommend any sadist show school days to an unsuspecting casual.

Finally there is Yosuga no Sora, again I recommend this anime, or at lest the first two and last two episodes of it for the said people above.

Note do not show these animes to children.

I came here looking for these 3 to be mentioned, someone had to.
Kiss x Sis is another great one.

Ignoring all the trolling with the dumb recommendations (seriously, guys?) I would say a good one would be Polar Bear Cafe. The series is pretty funny, and is appropriate for both younger and older audiences.

I am going to be pretty blunt and spoil the ambiguous game of verbal keep away here. The anime that will not be named as you put it is infamous because it depicts rather graphical sexual relationships between prepubescent effeminate little boys. That is the nature of the horror.

Silver Spoon is another series that should be ok for her to watch.......maybe.....I mean it isn't an offensive series by any stretch, but it certainly teaches one where their food comes from and how to respect it. Not sure if an 11 year old is ready for that. But it is also pretty funny, so....I dunno.

I second Non Non Biyori.

Do you guys think The Eccentric Family would be ok as well? I mean again it isn't offensive really.

Tonari no Seki-kun should be a must! Very funny series and very family friendly.

Do you know if she likes sports? Cause sports series like Ace of the Diamond and Yowamushi Pedal show be ok if she's into sports.

Um.....Kiniro Mosaic is uber cute!

That's all I got for now.

Sorry for giving my personal opinion
Trolling an adult into mistakenly watching pedaphilia hentai is one thing, trying to trick an adult into showing it to a child is pretty low if you ask me. I think calling you a douche is going pretty easy on you in my opinion.

But yeah Chi's Sweet Home is a good one for a kid to watch as AK suggested. Polarbear Cafe and Folktales from Japan are two others that are good for people of all ages. Encouragement of Climb has very short episodes but is good. Those are the one on CR that I know are fairly safe for kids to watch and that they wouldn't have too much trouble understanding although Im sure that there are more. Also if you can get your hands on non CR anime like Azumanga Daioh or more of Hayao Miyazaki's films.

There's also "Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?"

I'd also highly recommend Non Non Biyori.

Practically any cute girls doing cute things shows I would call safe.

Add into that practically any magical girl themed shows would be good too.

I say practically any because there is always that one odd ball that gets through that pushes the boundaries sometimes.

Ummm hey guys....let's chill on the whole "making 11 year olds cry" yeah? If she cries it will be because I accidentally forget to turn a zombie movie off, or make her eat spinach salad....just so we are clear (seriously not qualified to be a parent)

I love this little one but I am not sure I could stomach watching Sailor Moon...no offense to anyone

Do you think Fairy Tale would be a good one? It's not one that I have seen very much of, but I saw it mentioned earlier.....?
