For those of us in the know, we've all ran into the big blue bison a fair number of times in our rounds through the lanes, or more accurately, ran into us, teeth bared, howling out an ill-fated "moo" as the swinging lantern of ethereal unconsciousness cracks open body cavities, leaving nothing but a corpse for Spirit Breaker to graze on. If you're playing as someone flimsy, Doom help you.

Other heroes have a similar effect in that they render you helpless. Bloodseeker forces snipers everywhere to stand still and quietly wet themselves as the seeker showers with your aorta, and Doom turns heroes into trash-talking creeps. What separates these heroes from Spirit Breaker though is that you see them coming. You see Doom, and you know what will happen. Spirit Breaker on the other hand; you along with all your teammates feel him coming. It's a feeling in the pit of your bone marrow that this guy is fast approaching. Even if you're lucky enough to see hints of the blue bison bashing his way through creep waves, you can't shake the feeling. In fact, knowing exactly what your in for and that you're the one in for it just adds to the sheer terror. You can ask forgiveness all you like for your crimes against bovine kind. It won't save you from the maddened charge, the soft ringing of his weapon as it bounces along the way. That fountain, only inches away, will be torn right from you, and there's nothing you can do about it. What's worse is that through the entirety of his journey, Spirit Breaker is probably ready to charge again, but this time his ultimate is ready too! Spirit Breaker is inevitable. He is a rampaging constant; big brass balls incarnate. He fears nothing. He invokes fear, his ever- alert, unblinking red eyes following every health bar in every lane, just waiting to plow a straight path of equal parts initiation and desolation.

Red Bull may have wings, but the blue bull has the power to make you eat your own shit.

Actually ever since they nerfed the magic immunity during Ult I've not seen him very often because support players got wise and started stunning him mid-ult. It's pretty easy to land an in-lane Shackleshot on a charging ass-cow. I do agree, though - When he was "In" and pubs were playing him as a ganker it SUCKED HARD BALLS OF FIRE. Not so much anymore though. Now all I can do is avoid all the Mirana players who think they're fucking SingSing or something and try to land BS arrows on you haha.

To play against a Spirit Breaker you basically have to lure him in, much like fishing, you leave a bait sitting there for 20-30 seconds, wait till he's missing, That's how you kill heroes like Tinker,Furion and Spirit Breaker, with Tinker i just sit in the fog waiting for him to farm that tasty lane of abandoned creeps, Furion, you just have to have good map awareness and realize which tower of yours will most likely be pushed in, usually the ones that are further away from your team's position, Spirit Breaker is one of those heroes that can only succeed by picking people apart, one by one, he can't 2x1 if he's not fed yet, if you 5 man all game, he is done for, he is an awful late game hero, and not the best farmer, he can't go toe to toe with any carry or even semi carry if both decide to just farm.

Oh and Bloodseeker has the easiet counter on the planet, not a lot of people know this, but until his ult hits level 3, healing salves will not break from his ult's damage, so you can decide to just simply walk away with a healing salve on you, it basically negates the damage but it won't heal you, or if it's a later stage of the game, just carry a TP scroll and double tap that TP as soon as you get ulted.
Oh that healing salve trick can also be applied to pudge's rot, so in case a pudge decides to save his hook and just rot/walk near you, just pop a healing salve and manfight him

Well that is new to me. I just use the TP to run away from all the annnoying slark, BS whenever they try to gank me ( i mostly play squishy support heros ). I am pretty sure you can't really manfight a pudge even with rot through since one autoattack is all it takes to negate the lovely healing salve. As for Spirit Breaker ( I like to call him Space Bovine ), i feel like he is easy to fight against simply because of the MMR i guess. In my MMR, people actually TP countergank and most players call missing whenever our space bovine is missing. Maybe on lower MMR, it will be easier to pubstomp with Space bovine since well no missing calls, and people love to do their own thing, just need to pop a ward in their jungle and enjoy the ganks.

You're a brave person, i don't know your MMR, but i've also been playing core support for years now and i cannot play support on ranked matchmaking, because if i don't go mid i lose, i'd say like 1 out of 10 matches the mid lane wins in my team if i don't mid, not that i'm pro or anything but god damn retards sure love playing carry and mid

Fun read, haha.

SB isn't too bad. He only gets bad when he's fed and/or your hero is naturally bad at dealing with a semi-tanky melee hero. I only fear him past mid-game or if he is well-fed. Harass the hell out of him to make sure he never gets fed.

Evasion works fairly well since he is relatively slow at attacking but it won't save you from his damaging skill attacks. Or you can also get Blademail and some HP and laugh in his face. He tends to be pretty aggressive so just have an ally with a disable nearby and don't let him ambush you since you will probably lose 1v1 unless you're tanky enough to run away within like 6 seconds.
