I have been going through my manga and anime collection to clear out series that I am not into any more. I know there is ebay, craigslist, amazon to resell.

But does anyone else have ideas?

Depends, if you are or were a student try the local clubs from your campus, or try to sell them to your friends. Another way is to find out about a swap meat, because they will sometimes give you a free first time set up. Not sure where you live, because local stores can buy the items too. For example, the comic stores or anime stores (rare to see here) can purchase them. These stores will also have a site, and you can even sale to them without even going to their store in person. You can post your craigslist on anime/manga sites through forums, and see if anyone is interested. There is also half.com from eBay, which can bring in a few more bucks than eBay even.

In my opinion the best option for these items would be person to person transactions, so you can have a bit of cash in your pocket or trade. Unless they are the super rare or go for a bit of dinar anime/manga (check the lists, example would be Hajime no Ippo first series complete 1 or 2 licensed from geneon) then ya online is a lot better.

This product is difficult to sale via internet methods, since it depends on "whole collections, rarity, what is missing(cases/inserts/ads/promos), if it is available to see for free or paid sub through sites, is it volumes, how much will be the cost to ship, is it considered "good", and etc"
I use to be a vendor on eBay, and still sell a bit. So, sorry for the over board of tips.

I've found that trading gives a better value most of the time. Find something you want to watch/read/obtain and try to trade up or light below value.

sell it via something like ebay or craigslist. I got burned buying/selling/trading on Reddit by one bad user.

Depends on where you live. I live near a military base and there are quite a few "geek" shops around here that sell comics/manga/anime and the like and will buy at a decent price - stay away from any bigger companies they'll give you pennies for your merchandise.
We have something called "Bookoo" it's a website that's like craigslist, but is broken down into very local chunks. I was able to clear out shelf space using that site - but if you don't have any of these options then I'll agree that ebay is your best bet.

I too have to say Ebay...Otherwise, if they're in great condition You may be able to sell them to a local Hobby shop, or even Your local Library. Also, if You have comrades in Your living area who also watch Anime and read Manga, You could have a Yard Sale?

But yeahhhh....Methinks Ebay is Your best way to go.

Something like this might be fun? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSodvRnD3Qc
Also, I can't quite place it but somehow your avatar strikes me as a bit sinister or creepy... which is ridiculous of course, but there it is. I think it might be something with the eye.

If the OP's age is right, that would effectively make her a creeper (even more so than your trench coat description :P). If you really want to try something similar I'd say just go to the local community college/university animu/mango club.

eBay is probably the easiest way to reach out to a big audience rather than your local community; that's what I'd recommend unless you live in a big liberal city or college town with access to alot of people who would want to buy in person. Amazon is a good alternative too if you can't stand eBay.

You can through Amazon or a store like Hastings.

You could always sell them to friends; or if you have a collectors shop in town you could take them there.
